Yes I got a reply from Ottawa office my file is transffered their and I'm sponsoring my wife from Pakistan and I'm Canadian Citizen so child will get citizenship by birth

Hmm. I am also giving birth a child in January then i will send then a birth certificate of my child. Did they ask u to send birth certificate of ur child in Ottawa office? My husband's file is also in Ottawa thats what call centre agent told me.

I Visited earlier this year Apr to July and going back again Feb 14 now as no visa yet and I have to be with my wife.

Are u citizen or a PR? N did u recently visited Pakistan? How long did u stay there????

True that but its maybe because Pakistan is also taking Afghanistan's application. even after 9/11 the timeline was still 8-9 months I believe. and for New Delhi its now 10 months I guess.

because of number of applicant...embassy staff was not enough to complete all applications..yes india do have high number of applicant but over there they have more staff .. staff is allocated according to country size and population..

and one of the most important reason is our securty checks...it takes time..and normally we use to have comman surnames as welll it effect our securty check time..

But i thk. Islamabad Embassy open our file after 1 year thats y this prb. increses
embassy staff prb. will solve if they want 2 solve it

The only reason you fill out the quebec selection certificate (CSQ) after is because you have to be approved by the federal government before satisfying the provincial. It would make no sense to be approved by Quebec and then rejected by Canada. That would just make you lose about $250.00.

Secondly, if you don't get the med before applying. They would deem your file incomplete. Two options now; either they will return your file back from mississagua without approving stage 1 or they will send to CHC-ISB and after 8-10 months when they realize your meds are missing, they would ask you for medicals and but your file back in queue.

As they say "Play the game, don't let the game play you".

I know it is on checklist, and on part 1 forms for sponsoring for Quebec resident they ask for Selection certificate but you can not apply for Selection till you have not received the approval from Federal about your application. So having it on the check list doesn't mean you have to give it. Maybe this is the reason why everyone here is doing many time medicals, while it is only required when they request it. Which make sense as if your sponsor is refused why doing medical before knowing that.

I think Pak community is not strong in Canada thats the main prb, or reason behind 26 month duration

Its not Pak Community its all about Pakistan Goverment who is not strong enough to speak to them , the Foreign Minsiter have power to solve these cases, coz they have their consulate or embassy in Pakistan, how come they dont listen to Pak Goverment, its just Ms. Rabbani who doesnt care other then buying her expensive accessories...
and them its pakistan consulate who are sitting in Canada and spending thousands of dollars every month and doing nothing other then using goverment money and paying their kids college fees.....

But on the ther side India is also responsible for Nepal and Bhutan, so it is just to make our self happy that Pakistan is taking Afghanistan's Application, the truth is that we just get treated as orphans coz of our goverment who doesnt speak for our rights...

The pakistani ID card of my wife is in urdu, as they ask attested copy of it, do I have to do the translation of the card in english ? what you guys did ?

I am confused about the period that how long I can visit my husband in Pakistan while i'll be on Maternity leave for one year n my husband case is under process???? Do u have any idea for PR how long they can stay out side of canada speciallyin my case that i'll be on Maternity so there is no point of 2-3 weeks holidays which normally is said by the other forum members.

According to my knowledge PR Card Holder can stay 3 Months (its not conformed), But in your case i have no idea. Do You have any property or permanent job in Canada. You can satisfy them in case if they ask either you plan to come back in Canada. You know in every case, every one have different experience.
One think if you like to try ( in your case ) just visit your MP and let him know you need your husband to take care of yourself. Then he will definitely help you.
