CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

Salam guys, inshallah within few days my application will be filed in Mississauga,
I was going thru last few pages of this thread and im a bit confused about couple of things..
1st is people are saying their file is in Ottawa, is it because they live in Ottawa or is there any change in process?
2nd is people are saying that Ottawa are processing files quickly? true?
and I want to know as my in laws live in Mississauga they will apply for immigration their does my file also comes to Ottawa or it will be processed in ISL?
also I want to know what's the expiry time of medial and police file. Today I got my police verification and medical was done on 10th august.

no they dont live in ottawa files where transfer to ottawa instead of islamabad because of heavy load in islamabad

2nd is people are saying that Ottawa are processing files quickly? true?

where also listening this from long time but still not sure is it true or not

it depends on CIC they r sending randomly few files to ottawa and few to islamabad..

also I want to know what's the expiry time of medial and police file

medical is valid for 1 year ..police certificates is different for different cities few have 3 month limit few has 6 month and some of them have 1 year validty

We sent our spouse sponsorship application (Husband Case) to CIC Mississauga on September 7, 2012.

File got approved and transferred to CHC Islamabad on October 23, 2012 haven't heard anything since then !

Still a long way to go I guess !

when i called CIC call center they said my file is in ISB. and only the people in Canada files were sent to Ottawa. Whats the game they are playing

Can you please confirm me where your spouse reside in Canada or in PAK?

What do you mean? So if the sponsor person - the Canadian wife or husband is in Pakistan then the file is in Islamabad
and if the that person is in Canada then file is in Ottawa?

I think you are talking about how it works for Canadians and people from visa exempt country ..come here and live with their spouses while PR is in process .. I think almost everybody here has their spouse back in Pakistan. because visit visa is hard to get.

I think its only for people who apply inland but we cannot do that. we apply outland. My husband is in Pakistan and im in Canada but my file is in ottawa.

I sponsored my husband in November 2011, from Mississauga it got transfered to the CPP in Ottawa and they indicated on my client application status online that they started processing my application on January 29, still havent heard from them, its gunna be a year at the end of January. -__-

my case is almost the same as urz... Husband's case n applied on 5th of september... ur lucky dat u got the approval.. i did not even get that.. i ve no idea y is it taking them so loonnnggg to make d decision.. bt i hope sab kuch theek ho n jaldi hojai iA!!!

How long does ur file stay in the cpp Ottawa office ?? If its 12 months plus 26 months in the Islamabad office thats INSANEEE!!!! Need some clarification ??

If your file is transfered to ISB than it should take a max of 26 months.

If gone to ottawa it should take 12 months + ppr stamping from ISB (don't know how long that will take).

However, ottawa doesn't seem to live up to its expectations so far.

This is clearly not normal. Something is up. It doesn't take over 4 months for approval. Get an Mp involved to ask the rationale behind this wait.
