@ jerry
In that case u should ask ur lawyer to email them

My lawyer is pretty much useless. I paid $1500 for nothing. I don't recommend anyone to get a lawyer!

I'll try calling tomorrow and see what's going on.

looks like you paid $1500 for calls on your behalf lol...you need to get your lawyer to email Ottawa..

I hope you are right about the "straight-forward" cases part :). I doubt he'll call, he's so arrogant ugh! I never recommend anyone to hire the lawyer. I paid all this money for nothing, I think my best bet is to call them tomorrow and consult my MP as I said previously.

Well i know my in laws will be happy .. but we don't like to share it with anybody except for the elders. his younger brothers and sisters dont even ask about anything. They got no clue about the process. There are a few retards in my family but I dont really care about them and dont give them enough importance to even tell them whats going on.

Yes n when every one asks about the process n how much it will take to process it makes me sumtym anxious nn depress :p

I found this as previous post thought it would be good to share with everyone here who are currently in the process of sponsoring their spouse. Insha Allah if we all appeal to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we will be able to have some positive impact, as was the case in UK:

Hello everyone,

Spousal Immigration seems to be the toughest task on the planet[for pakistanis only ]

I dont know how people around here got soooo much "patience" to wait for 9 months, 16 months, 21 months, 23 months and 24 months, not finally, because it is expected to exceed to 28 months, 32 months...38 months.......the sequence of increasing months in your choice....

People applied in 2011, should raise their voice against this unfair prolong time....so I am appealing everyone on this forum to write to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to divert attention of our officials to this unjust.....

You can write anonymously. And I think Fax is the better option to deliver the letter. Here is the Fax number of our beloved Foreign Minister, Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar:

051-9210335

You can also send by post on this address:

Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
Foreign Office Building (near Serena Hotel),
Constitution Avenue,
G-5, Islamabad.

It would be better, if the letter is written directly to the Foreign Minister.

Guys, if you remember, last year UK visa applications were gathered in bulk, and thousands of applicants were waiting due to slow, and inefficiency of the visa office. People wrote to Foreign Ministry of Pakistan and they took an action to resolve the issue.

I think we all spousal visa victims ......should at least bring into the notice of Foreign Minister...that the spousal visas are taking too much time and it is against human rights....hope it will make some difference...

InshAllah

I appeal to all those senior members of this forum, who got the visa, or about to get a visa to acknowledge my appeal voluntarily...
I will be thankful...
Great idea

From what I have seen cases sent to ISB have been progressing quite well. Some applicants got visa and Landed (2012 member) and a few got add doc requests from ISB (2012 members). Ottawa hasn't shown any progress as of yet....

Just read abt ur case! :o kya hua call centres walo k sath???

that's why my wife and I decided we were not going to have any kids in Pakistan. Its not fair on the wife that she has take care of the kid amidst all the taunts and negativity. its hard enough waiting for the process to complete and throwing a kid into that makes it worse.

we will start our family in Canada. :P

Its a family forum and I really don't want to cuss them out. She was SOOOO rude OMG! Anyways the latest update from me is that my file is in Ottawa. So I asked her why Ottawa? Her response was that since Islamabad has such a high load of work, to distribute the work Ottawa will be processing my file. I THINK I'm a little excited now because CPP-Ottawa's processing time is 12 months but I don't want o get my hopes too high. May Allah's mercy be on all of us.
