CHC don't reply sometimes. Its a game of luck with emailing them....

Thanks I guess. What's your timeline :)? Was it you who's file was actually not transferred?

Timeline is Feb Applicant, May Transfer. However, They forgot to transfer contacted them in Oct. CIC states they will forward file with note stating "5months late". So I dont have to wait in queue....

Major issue here is. I hope no one was mean and filed a complaint against your file. At times people complain (through jealousy) that this marriage ain't genuine. Hopefully, thats not this issue and they will approve your file.

Hello,

I'm also a Feb 2012 applicant and just 2 days my husband found out via MP office that our file has not been transferred. This is so disappointing. Please let me know who you contacted and who committed to get your file transferred. I will be really grateful.

Omg that's so messed up, that's what I'm scared of too. My MP has not replied once, I've emailed him twice in the last 2 months.

I have recently got married in Pakistan. We did nikah only however there was a formal ceremony and we have quite a few supporting documents in form of photos, emails, chat logs, telephone bills etc. Now, I am in the process of filing application for spousal sponsorship but I am a bit worried if not holding rukhsati may create delays and objections? I have been researching similar cases on different forums on internet and it does appear that the abovementioned situation may weaken my application. As , I have already returned to Canada to resume my job and studies , it is not possible for me to go back to my home country immediately for doing the rukhsati ceremony. I have been thinking of submitting my application with explanation that rukhsati would be held within one year and then after that I would update the visa office with additional details.

Is it the right way to proceed?

MP FINALLY REPLIED! He asked me to come and sign some papers so he can send an inquiry to Islamabad. I shall go sometime soon!

I'll be honest, from the past we have seen that Nikkah only cases usually get interviews, and interviews from 2010 applicants are being held NOW so you can imagine the wait. Every situation is different but by the looks of it no matter what explanation you give with your application, Nikkah only cases are definitely a "red" flag in the eyes of CHC-I.

Hope that helps!

I Sorted the spreadsheet chronologically based on the "Application Received by CIC" column which will allow us to reference our application with others who have similar time lines.
