I submitted by husband's case to CPC-Missausaga on July 20th, 2012, but I havent received my letter yet that approves me as a sponsor. But others who have applied in August 2012 have already received their letter! Does this mean there's something wrong because why would CPC-Missausaga give preference to the later ones first?
Wait 1 to 2 more weeks you will get your approval letter!

Good Luck!

Which office did you contact to update phone number?

I guess online there is an option to choose office in case you need to change anything?
I contacted both visa office in Ottawa and Islamabad. I emailed both of them but I got reply only from CPP- Ottawa that your new contact information has been updated in our System and I am still waiting for reply from Islamabad just want to make sure if they have my file or not?
I don't think there's no way online you can't change your own information!
Good Luck!

Hi,
i applied for my family(wife) near June 2011 and just a weak ago, My wife received a letter from Canadian Embassy. They send the later on 12 Sept 2012 but on the letter date was mention 30 Augest 2012.
i have the following questions, please any one help me.

1) they mention that for future crospndense we should use the file number, but there is no file number in the letter we have only
UCI 12345678 and Aplication F000012345, there is also printed Paper File# but no number mention in front of it.So let me know which number i should use for future. OR i have to inform them about missing file number.

2) me and my wife also lived in saudia, while my stay in saudia Arab she visit two time and total stay in saudia is six and half month (6.5 months). her first stay was 4 month and second stay was 2 and half month (2.5 Month).
So they ask if applicatn stay in any country for six month then she has to submit police clerance cetrifacte from that country. Let me know either she should submit it or not becusase her stay was not 6 months in one stay.

3) they did not asked for the medical for my family. does she submit the medical by her self or wait for next call.

4) please let me know how much time it will take now. because it is already 16 months to my family case.

1: UCI is ur client id number, F000... is ur application/file number... so when u contact in future to ur overseas immigration office by email or mail or courier, make sure you send all this info so they know who is contacting them. hence provide, UCI# Application# Sponsor's name, Sponsors DOB, Sponsors Address, Applicant's Name, Applicant's DOB (date of birth)... once you provide all that, then start writing Dear Sir/Madam etc... all that info must be on top... so they can match the letter to the appropriate file and process it..

2) you can call the cic call center to confirm this stay issue in SA, and whether you will require the clearance certificate from there or not, however, if its very easily doable for you, then just go ahead and do it... but if your wife is not there, then talk to the call center or call/email your visa office ppl to see if you do or dont have to...

3) if you are only sponsoring you wife (no kids, or other family members) then you only provide with her medical... and if you had already done the medical when you sent your application then you must wait for their request of a re-medical if they want it to be re-done. But for police clearance certificate of Pakistan see if that has expired, then voluntarily get a new one and re-submit that... that you have to do on your own, dont wait on them to tell you to do it...

4) bro if your case is very straightforward with abundance of evidence to prove your marriage is genuine and filed correctly, then you are almost there, it shouldn't take anymore than 20 months...

if you are the applicant, which i am assuming you are, then i think due to your travel history it will go the distance of 26 months... I hope it gets done quickly for you, but this is a long game of sitting idle and displaying patience. best of luck.

It seems CHC 2012 processed case will be faster than CPP-O processed cases for 2012.....

yup... unfortunately we are the new 2010 cases... i am miffed right now... :(

it seemed like we were in for a smooth ride... but i see people who filed cases alongside me are getting responses from isl, but no one has yet gotten a response from ottawa...

i have emailed them and no reply so far... and its a itch with a b to get through to the call center agents...

Exactly, it seemed as if this was going to work out in our favor. However more the smoke clears more reality we start to see.

This might actually be a "dumping area". ( I hope not).

Call agents wont tell you squat.

my even bigger concern is that what will happen once they do get around to finalizing their part on the file, do they send request of ppr, or fwd it to isl then... and once file goes to isl, does it directly gets touched in a separate line, or does it sit and rot and wait for that 8-9 month period for them to re-asses or issue ppr...

this is now too much bs...

and i bet you all the people who are cheating their way into Canada are prob getting through as we speak, but genuine cases are getting pelted on their rears in the name of catching fraudulent cases...

You bring up valid concerns.

Everything is possible. That "bs" they give us is that "low risk profiles" go to CPP-O

But CHC issuing PPR to "high risk"??. I dunno immigration never tells the truth.

Its frustrating it seems as if we did a criminial offence to get married in pakistan......

i think i am gona look into going for gcms notes...

Too early to order GCMS if you are a May 2012 File transfer, but it doesn't hurt as its only $5.

if you are sponsor, then use UCI# but if you are applicant than use the Application#... make sure to change that from the drop down menu on the ecas page... use the appropriate uci# or application# followed by writing down that number, then putting down your last name, your date of birth, your country... and it should work... vice versa for your spouse...

Make sure that you are logging in correctly with your information. If it still doesn't work, then wait for a couple of weeks for the E-case to have your file setup in their system.
