Let's look at it this way: at least it hasn't increased

Thats true and I was waiting soo long for this update to see a significant change because its supposed to represent 80 percent of all cases between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012. But I highly doubt this is true because most people are getting visas in 10-12 months. I'm just praying that InshAllah our 2012 cases will be done within 12 months based on the increased processing of the 2011 cases.

what abt the cases b4 jul 2011 ???

i think until they clear out all the 2010 cases which are stuck for the really long time frames, they will continue to advertise it to be 26 months... once all those old cases are cleared out, they may drop it down a bit... plus as one user said earlier, this forum is like a drop of the ocean as we prob have 2-3% of all the applicants on here... for example say there are 5500-6000 files at isl (as per one report displayed here earlier that is roughly the number of files there), and we have about 150-200 active members with timelines for isl here (my observation)... do the math... yes cases are being done a bit faster but they will maintain that 26 month timeline as their safety net. also, its only a positive thing as it hasnt gotten any worse than what it is... 27 or more months...

wife case
application filed : 23rd april 2012
approval letter issued from mississauga on 2nd august 2012 and recd on 13th august 2012------ file transferred to islamabad.

but before receiving approval from mississauga i recd an envelop from ottawa-pilot project in whcih they had returned our rukhsati/walima pics and kept only our engagement pics/nikkah pics/post wedding pics.

does anyone have similar experience or know why that might have happened as ours was full marriage and i suppose rukhsati pics r much important in the spouse case.

thats weird, i would say keep the photos, and in a few months time send it as part of additional info...

Did you send everything in the same package? This is really bizarre.

but that has nt happened to anyone before .. what if sending additional info voluntarily harms the case? it might be that they are satisfied with the relationship and therefore returned the pics ? jus a thought ! because i have never seen them returning pics in any case infact they always ask for more pics as proof of relationship.

YES ALL IN ONE PACKAGE

Yep this a true point, we really don't know how many people have applied. Though, that doesn't justify the 26months. They might reduce or might increase no one knows about the CHC-I

i know one of my friend, he got his photos back with AOR. but since he sent around 100 pics, they kept few and sent most of them back. normally they require 20-25 pics but if you will send in hundreds then they send it back. by the way his case is completed in around 12 months after getting AOR.
