Nah bro, I didnt talk to the MP for the spouse sponsorship. My colleagues who had tried were told by the MP to only contact them once the 26 month period was up.

Let us know what the MP says. I am going to be contact his office again soon to discuss if he can help us out by making a case to the federal government on the Pakistani's behalf. He will earn a lot of brownie points in the next election, since our area has a large Pakistani minority.

that is weird man, they should have replied.
One thing is that I sent the email to this addy:

bob.dechert @ parl.gc.ca

Try sending the email to that addy and wait a day.
If you dont receive a reply, call their office, the secretary will pick up the phone, jsut tell her that you sent an email and were wondering if the MP received it. She will look at it then and let you know that she will get back to you or something.
But fwd the email to the above email first.
If that doesn't work then call his office @ (905) 897-1952

You aren't able to book a ticket on the site but you can use the info on an airline's website or better yet send it over to your travel agent.

Don't forget your travel agents get in bulk and are able to discount even more. Also, PIA with their website even are $100 cheaper than lowest fare anywhere. With agent it becomes $200 cheaper And it's a direct flight!

hello, sir, I urgently require your help... see my wife is a PR card holder and i have a Canadian born son, living in canada, I am a Pakistani,my wife applied for my immigration since sept 2010..
recently i did my re medical on 19 march, 2012.. hoping my case is near to completion.
I wrote a email to embassy and they replied me that they stated that" the re medical request and passport request form has being sent to me on 7 march 2012,
but in the envelope there was only medical request form, I emailed da embassy stating that I did not got a passport request form!!

Now da problem is that I dont know wat to do! should i send my passport or wait for a hard copy to be mailed through post!!
Plz advice your assistance is highly appropriated and considered as a blessing, I am very much worried and stressed out!!

just have a quick question. its been 78 days now for me to send the sponsorship application. what my understanding is that there is no way we can check the status online before untill we get the approval email or letter right?? when i go to the website and type the reciept number or my old client ID it says "we are unable to recognise ......"

Hey!

If you received an AOR first, then yes, you will be able to check your status before the approval mail.
I received my AOR 13 days before the approval. Only after I received my AOR was I able to login and check my status. I dont think there is a way to check your status earlier than that because they dont set you up in the system until your AOR is received. I know this because I called them asking why its taking so long, the CIC Call center rep was unable to find my app in their own system.
That being said, I received the AOR after 93 days. You should be receiving it in the email address u specified soon. Just keep checking hte Junk mail folder as well.

I called CIC and they said they opened my file on June 14. The agent told me they should have a decision in 1-2 weeks. :'(
