Seems like those who applied in 2013 got their original documents back as well as their files were transferred to Islamabad (per ATIP/GCMS notes) as of June, July, & August 2013.

Keep in mind CIC has received money to reduce its processing/backlog time by a year so they are going electronic ... seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel. Let's see what the quarterly updated processing times have in bank.

How come you concluded this information not source but what are indications that tells?

In my views they are doing this deliberately to discourage Pakistani for spouse spnosoship
and wants to make money on TRV.

Hello My husband sponser me in July 5 2012 my file transfer to islamabad on 9 September 2012 now 14 jan 2014 CHC send me a letter for remedical and additional document like marriage proof police certificate and I will send these things to CHC on 30 jan no reply yet please tell me anyone when CHC send me letter

It means nothing. They have to give your originals back one day or another.

Getting your originals doesn't mean your case is finalized. It just means someone at the office scanned your docs and don't need your originals anymore.

The question remains same....

What does "getting your originals back" mean?


What should I expect now? If anyone can shed some light

Basically, the officer who is in charge of gathering documents will send out an email asking for these things to be fulfilled. Once these docs are received he will verify if they are the correct docs. Then he will forward your file to the "eligibility decision" making officer. This is the guy who send ppr these days. Hence, why is becoming rare to see remed+ppr at the same time (like we used back in 2012 or 2011). The due date roughly is 3 months (doesn't mean they will follow it). In my case the due date was nov 2013 for decision making officer and its March 2014 (just to show due dates don't mean nothing). The rest Allah knows better I'm just a victim of CHC.

thank u guys for answering my question...i didn't received my documents yet but i heard all applicant who's file got transfer got documents back so i got worried but now i know i am not alone
