can anyone tell me that my sponsoring is about 17 months when will I get my visa.

Have u done ur remedical , actually mine is 20 months already and now waiting for ppr since 8 months , don't know what to do

Hi everyone

I'm new to this forum. I have a question regarding average time after re-med. Does any one know how long it takes after re-med?. Here's the info about my wife's case:

Application Filed: March 2012
AOR: June 2012
Documents requested: April 2013 (Police cert + info about when ruksati will happen)
Proof of ruksati sent : Oct 2013
Remed: 8th Dec 2013
Remed done: 12th Dec 2013
Also, honeymoon pictures were returned on 7th Jan 2014 saying that they hhave been uploaded to online application.

I applied at the same time as u n my wife submitted her passport in Nov.... but still there's no updates.... there's no set timeline after re-med..... it can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months.... lately it seems they have been returning some passports for those that did their re-medicals in summer 2013.... hopefully they will work their way up in to fall/ winter 2013 soon inshallah.... Let's wait n see how much longer it takes... I don't expect it will be that much longer!

I've heard that passports actually get stamped in London or Dubai.... so once CHC-ISB recieves our passport they get sent out to either London or Dubai for stamping the visas..... I wanted to know from the experienced members on here.... is that really true?.... does this apply to spousal sponsorship cases?.... I don't see the logic behind y CHC-ISB can't stamp the visas themselves.... They should just get us to send our passports directly to wherever it needs to get stamped rather than have us send it to CHC-ISB n they forward it onwards....

I think if you have visited your spouse during this period then you should definitely send them latest pics and other proofs etc. In my view this will make sure that you don't get into the interview queue. Just a thought!

Yes I had sent them our daughter birth certificate by email and by mail but they didnot reply me when she was 3 months old now she is 9 months old , can u suggest me if I send birth certificate to my husband and he mail from there means from Pakistan and May be our daughter pics aswel plz reply me , I am so upset .

New Surprise For 30 Afghan Families in Islamabad

Dear Afghan Brothers & Sisters Today I got informed about 30 Afghan Families list is sent to IOM which will be given Visa very soon.
One Afghan Family who were 3 individuals got their Visa before their Medicals get expired on 14 March 2014 !
& Visa's Validity is also until the time of expiry date of Medicals.
So Canada Embassy has started working & taking Actions against cases everybody just cross your fingers & countdown the remaining time maybe it's your family in these 30 families who is qualified to get their Canada visa finally after a long process.

Thank you. Also, I have another question: does it matter where in Canada you are. I have been hearing that people sponsoring from Alberta have their process accelerated compared to Ontario. Is it true?

im in Calgary and got approved in nov 2012 and still here. I wish tho

There's really no set timeframe for it.... hopefully its soon inshallah!

If ur first medical is still valid then they won't ask for another one but if its not valid then they will definitely ask for one once they review ur additional forms.... this is cuz the validity of ur visa is linked to the validity of the medical exam

My first expired in july 2013 but medical is still saying exempt in my third GCMC notes due to EDE exemption
