Fyi...been reading a lot about CAIPS Notes and I just wanted to add that THEY ARE THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD - In a process that is totally mysterious and dark - the CAIPS Notes gave so much information and helped us see exactly what was goin on with our case. My husband and i ordered them last year and were planning on ordering them again now but I got my PPR so I hope i won't have to order them ever again.

Anyhow anyone who is in Darkness and wants more information ORDER THE REPORT - It shows in detail exactly what is going on - when your file was reviewed - what notes were made on it - etc.

O and no it does not delay the process...I read someones post about how they were scared because ordering such notes would make CIC Suspicious of you and why you are so anxious - its quite the contrary according to me. Ordering Such reports once every 6 moths - 12 months show that you are genuinely concerned about your case and it only helps I BELIEVE.Plus if they were worthy of suspicion then they would have been out of business in no time. so don't worry and order your report to at least have a little peace in your life.

Lastly major congrats to sdfr0024! Hope you get all the happiness with your loved one
+1

Asalaam Malikum,

They just asked me to submit my wife's Police Clearance Certificate, because the first one is expired. I sent them my wife passport on june 20. Now they asked for this Police Clearance Certificate after two and half months. Does this means they were stamping my wife's visa and the noticed the police clearance was expired.

Thanks,
laghmani

Congratulations to those who are getting good news, may Allah keep u happy

My question is that is there any agreement that the permanent residents get into that doesnt allow them to leave canada for a year or something? Or am i being lied to? Like my husband visited me for our anniversary but he says he cant make it this time due to this agreement, any idea how much of this is the truth?

DOn't mean to be a bearer of bad news or anything but I haven't heard of anything such - yes there is a stipulation that forbids a PR Holder from overstaying outside of Canada for over a year or something but nothing that stops them from traveling back and forth...my husband used to visit me once a year ( (but he's a citizen) and my parent-in-laws (PR Holders) are always flying to and back from Canada - a matter in fact last time they overstayed in Pakistan by a few months but still they got back w/o any problem...

On another note - you don't know exactly what your husband is going through in Canada - maybe he just can't afford the trip or perhaps he has gotten really frustrated with the whole process - in either case i suggest to you as someone in the same boat - just be supportive and understanding of the situation - rather than revolting (unless of course you don't trust him or something on those lines) just be ultra sweet and agree with his decisions - coz at the end of the day when you chose to get married to a Canadian PR Holder u must have known about this brutal process and the effects it would have on your relationship. This process is basically a test of your relationship from what I have seen and you got to be down-right Rock Solid and have full faith in eachother...

P.S. There were various times when my husband would back out of visits and I would wine and cry but then I would just be normal and ULTRA SWEET - That usually got him to me right away - trust me killing with kindness is the best you can do ;)

Seems like they are working backwards. Usually, they ask for re-pcc before issuance of ppr.
