I am just thinking of sending some updated information of our relationship ...it's almost been one year now...my husband visited me two times since we got married on March 31,2012...so I need to know what should I send voluntarily to update my case...?

Last time i checked with the MP 2 months ago, my file was still in Ottawa and he told me that they will transfer it to ISB for processing in Feb 2014.
It came as a welcome surprise/big relief when my wife told me that she received the re-med through email yesterday. So I guess the file was transferred to ISB in the last 2 months sometime. We did not receive any indication of this though.

As for additional documents, I met my wife 4 times in the last 16 months in Dubai , and my mother/sis visited her once in Pk. I sent them hundreds of pictures and receipts for all our trips along with daily schedules for each visit. I also sent them 2000+ pages of skype/whatsapp/viber/sms/email proof

Also sent them proof of financial support, I send my wife money every month and save the transfer receipts.

I also added my wife as a beneficiary for the life insurance I receive at work, I sent in that beneficiary proof as well.

There is a ton of other stuff i sent in, stuff like pictures of all the gifts we have exchanged and the dates when these gifts were exchanged, put some property under our joint ownership and showed the proof for this.

My advice to everyone is to send them comprehensive additional proofs as soon as you can. I heard this from a very experienced immigration lawyer and have followed through on it by sending two packages of voluntary additional proofs. It cant hurt your case.

Prove to the VISA officer that you are indeed making your significant other a part of your life, show that financial dependencies are being created. This separates the marriage of convenience cases from legit marriages the most, IMO.

I called call centre of Ottawa today n they told me Ur file has been transferredrl to isb now.(sponsorship approval stated visa office Ottawa). So is that a good thing?and did u send any updates voluntarily.

On April 20 2013 I have submitted my wife application and after about 2 months my ecase status changed from application received to Decision Made. Should it not change to in process then decision made is this normal? on my wife ecase says application received.

may be its a good sign or may be instead of changing ur sponsor's status they changed yours. did ur file transferred to islamabad or ottawa on the sponsorship approval email?

I applied for my wife's sponsorship in 2012 and my wife got her visa today. Below is my timeline:

Application Filed: April 2012
Sponsorship Approval: July 2012
File Transferred to Ottawa: July 2012
Re-Med Request Received: Nov 2012
Paspport Request: July 2, 2012
Visa Received: July 25, 2012

wowww thats an awesome timeline if u applied in april 2012 and got visa in july 2013 congrats ;D

They took about a week they received on 17 of this month and returned on 24

Shena, as I know I send additional documents to Ottawa, i.e, phone call logs, Skype and SMS chat, email, money order receipts, greeting cards, gift receipts, letter envelope, pictures, tickets, boarding passes and what ever you think that can convince them.

Did they returned the documents to you?? How long a go you sent the additional documents. I am asking because i sent all these documents too to ottawa after a week they sent my documents back with a letter saying that they have kept the copies and originals are not required at this time if nessessary visa office will ask the original from the applicant

Awww it's soooo good to know I'm not alone ...but u know what Im amazed at watching ur timeline if I'm not wrong ..u applied in April 2012 right?? How did u manage so quick?? It toom me almost four and a half months to gather ALLL the documents...so I applied in August...
U applied for a TRV too this month? Good..hope u get this soon IA...tale care...

Thank u sooo much for the information...can u tell me wh should I send them to Ottawa not Isalmabad as I was told that my file was in Islamabad on Sep 28,2012 right after we filed our application last year?? How did u send ? EMAIL OR MAIL? ORIGINALS OR COPIES?...
