Hi guys!

So I was cic site n staring at the 29months...however I read this above :

"The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013."

Can anyone explain me what do they mean by "it took to "process" 80% of all cases...." As in they r done with theses cases between the mentioned timeline April 1 2013 to March 31 2013 ? I'm a dec 2011 applicant n my file is in Ottawa...haven't receive any remed request yet....so where do I stand in all this ??

It means the time line table is not the one to rely on . it will get change according to cases taking time to get complete from April 2012 to march 2013. so they will update the table in short they will reduce or increase the time accordingly

Have you ppl noticed they are dealing with Application field in Feb. and transferred in May. Applications field in dec. and Transfer in jan/feb are put on hold...

shah12, i reread your post and you are sponsoring your husband which means an automatic delay. so what happened is they opened your file and the status changed to "in process" and then they noticed it was a husband case and the file was placed in the delay queue. they did the same with wives cases which they deemed "suspicious".

Everybody check your statuses- if your status was in process and is now decision made and you haven't received any requests from cic then be prepared for a very long delay and a possible interview. :'(

well the chances of a male being involved in terror related activities are greater than a female's, hence the background checks involved in husband cases are more probing and time consuming. that is how the Canadian government thinks.

well the chances of a male being involved in terror related activities are greater than a female's, hence the background checks involved in husband cases are more probing and time consuming. that is how the Canadian government thinks.

NO that's how the whole world thinks just not CANADA. Any foreign muslin is considered a threat and not just Canada. Any country in the whole world thinks this and your guilty until proven Innocent !!

you are right..especially so with pakistani's..it looks like we have borne the brunt of every psycho fundo muslim out there. i dont mind the extra scrutiny because there is no way in hell i want sharia law in canada! lol..and i do enjoy my beer on hockey night lol..canada is a very tolerant nation..its only in recent years that they have become more vigilant...

Sure, just because it makes your hockey night a bit less amusing [not to mention the sissy fights that have plagued the game] Sharia law is bad. Picking and choosing is what have brought us to the point that we have to explain "Oh no!! I am not that kinda Muslim" . And then people have to explain a whole 5 mins "No I don't drink etc even though your other Muslim friend does"

one of my friend's husband received a email from chc and it has a file number starting with B. they had already received a file number starting with F before. She applied in July 2012.. does it mean anything? are they working on their case.. :
