Received the following reply from Ottawa today. I submitted my application in March 2012, file transferred in June 2012, and I submitted update proof of contact (vacation pic, emails, financial support etc) in May 2013.

Your application is being processed in Ottawa.

We received your proof of relationship documents.

An immigration officer will be in contact with you if any further correspondence is needed.
We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.
For future reference, in all correspondence to our office, please refer to the applicant's full name, date of birth and file number.

Folks here have been getting a good response time lately, at least apps filed in Feb'12 have been getting processed. Hang in there, should be over soon.

I want ask .... as chc isl. office get over around 5:00pm.. i wanted to fax them.. so can i fax them after 5:00 pm and they can receive it tomorrow.. or it is a bad idea ...
I should fax them in their working hrs??

Pls guide.

Medical results are uploaded right away now[no longer sent to Dehli] and available to CHC within 2 days. So that should decrease the time a bit.

Assalam O Alikum Everyone,

I just join this group today , I applied for my wife's sponsorship in August 2012 and got the file number on October 2012. Please add me to the list. The new list on cic website says 29 months...its insane , any thoughts why are they doing this only for Pakistan applicatants?
