went to ISB embassy. spoke with visa officer. they're checking my wifes police certificate and school documents. no request for re-med yet (med expires end of January 2013). step 1 approval June 2012. transfered to ottawa end of June 2012. recieved letter in Dec from MP saying file now transfered to ISB. went to visit wife for a month and stopped by embassy. spoke with VO, gave him our info and file #s VO adivsed they're checking documents. they did not let my wife into embassy so she waited outside, only i went in. now we wait. will advise if i hear anything futher. thanks.

so you are saying citizens can go visit the embassy and are allowed to talk to the VO?

That sounds promising... Hopefully something soon. It appears like Ottawa is processing cases in time. It just gets backlogged in ISB once it's transferred for final paperwork. Did you send more proof voluntarily in the middle or just stuck with the original package?

Btw, I read in an earlier post, you have 8 weeks vacation, that's sick! I'd be curious to know what you do...

did not send any further documentation, just the original package sent back in march 2012; no requests for furhter documents yet...we will just wait and see what happens..

i work in the supply chain industry for a large retailer at the sr level.

i do not think they will let you past the guards on the visa side; we lucked out as one of the staff members turned out to be an old neighbor from my wifes side...there was another lady there with similar questions (a CAN Passport holder), but the guards just told her to wait outside while they took her paperwork with them inside (from speaking with my contact, he adivsed that the only place they let citizens through is the passport renewal side)...

your best bet is to just go and see what they say. they were very friendly with me. You need to go early 9am and avoid going on friday. it was my first time being there, had to pay for a bus service 500 Rs. per person, pickup and drop off every 30 mins. its worth a shot!

your very lucky, perviously they wouldn't let anyone come near the embassy due to security threats. I guess they changed the by-law.

We are pretty close in our timelines. I haven't heard anything either. I do know my file is in ottawa (email confirmation). Most likely your file is also in ottawa.

Same here ... my file reached Mississauga on Feb 14th 2012 and letter received stating in June that my file was transferred to ISB on 28th May 2012.

I don't even know if file is still OTTAWA or they sent it to ISB as mentioned in letter.

Should we all try to contact MPs or talk to ministry?

If I wanted to find out where my file is (OTT/ISB), can I just call the call centre or do I have to go through the MP? If call centre, how do I go abouts asking where the file is? Is there something specific I have to ask or just generally ask where the file has been transferred to.

my timeline is near to yours. i had applied on feb 15, 2012 and file transferred to ottawa may 29,2012, i sent additional proofs in november. i contacted my MP last week who said that background and security checks didnt start yet and remedical request should be on its way. But my file is still in ottawa and it would be transferred to isb only for the issuance of visa. So if your file got transferred to isb it means you will get ppr soon

When I applied it was Nikkah but December 2012 I did rukhsati ... I havent updated them because I don't know where is my file

So I read the forum..nothing new, and here I thought a week of absence might bring something new. PS I was missing because I got into a severe car crash last Tuesday, Alhamdulillah I survived and got a few injuries only. My car is gone I miss it already!
