Try calling the call centre, you'll know better where your file is. Sponsors are being told their files are transferred to Islamabad but some of them are actually in Ottawa. Your best bet is to call the call centre and they will better tell you where it is.

Which call center you're talking about?? I called the number of the Embassy in Islamabad and they told me to email them. It was automated computer talking. Which number you're talking about??

Apperently med requests come within a month or two from expiration.....

My med already expired in august 3rd no re med yet Allah knows better...

The Mississauga call centre. Their number is 1 888 242 2100.

july 2011 applicants are offically receiving ppr from ISB...

If you check the 2011-2012, you'll know . IA your PPR is on its way!

so honestly regardless of what we find out about the file staying at the Ottawa office or Islamabad. Should I be glad that its in the Ottawa office and might get processed faster or should I worry that the actual processing and PPR is eventually going to come from the Islamabad office?

In my opinion the actual visa will be stamped by ISB because thats our ACTUAL VO. At this point I don't know if we should worry or not. To my knowledge Ottawa will be doing the initial stuff (security, medical etc.) I don't now how accurate that is to be honest. My file was transferred to Ottawa in September and on Friday it got updated to "Medical results have been received", so I think they are definitely working, on what pace.. THAT we don't know!

Hate to be at the mercy of the government. Have thought about seriously packing up my bags and moving to Pakistan until this whole sponsor saga ends.

they are wrapping up 2010 cases, 2011 cases are getting PPRs ..hopefully very soon it will be 2012's turn!
I wish next time they update our processing time, it goes down to 6-8 months man!

One of my friends filed her application on Nov 2010 and the poor girl is still waiting for her husband to come here.

but it might work fast may be we get visa stamp also from ottawa...as skill worker's from pakistan getting there visa's from london visa office
