Generally speaking, how does involving the MP help the case? I have heard of a 2012 case which was completed in 8 months since the sponsor kept pestering his MP constantly. My understanding was the MP can only do queries with CHC as to where the file is, etc. but based on people's experience, it seems like they can do more than just queries.

thats what I thought they cant really push CHC. If files are being completed within 8 months, I will for sure ask my MP to intervene. but I dont know my MP all I know its someone from tories.

i noticed somebody in this thread saying they filed in oct 2012 and on ecas it say decision made.
means that decision has been made within 2 months?

Decision made must be of sponsorship application status not Permenant residence application.

Yup thats right. decision made for stage 1, not the second stage.

i have another question, why some applications are process from CPC-ottawa and most from ISB

nobody knows whats up CPC-Ottawa. is your being processed there? for my it says medicals received, decision made, approved as sponsor and in the email it said file sent to islamabad but my ecas doesn't say that.

For everyone who had their files transferred to Ottawa, who did you contact to confirm this, because I tried emailing CPP-Ottawa and that was useless. Also, if your file was sent to Ottawa, does it show as medical received on E-Cas?

Yes my file was forwarded to ottawa from mississauga and i received my stage 1 approval from ottawa that they have send my application to islamabad. N my ecase shows that that application received and medical results are received

my online ecas doesn't say file sent to Islamabad. It only says decision made but my letter said file sent to Islamabad, is it okay?

Its said into your first stage approval letter not in ur ecase

guys anybody got anything from ottawa??? i haven't heard a single case getting PPR from ottawa ??? my husband's medical is expiring in January 2013, and last month my MP told me that they started reviewing my file from 25 oct 2012, but my lawyer and anyone else is not able to tell how long ottawa will take to review a file and then wt is the next step. I am tired of this waiting time
