CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

we got approval email on 25 oct 2012 and that email also says that my file is transfer to islamabad..but when i check my status on cic web site.. it says application recived not decision made and when i click on it... it says application recived on 13 aug and medical recived,, i am little worried because people says that when we get approval after that status change to decsion made but mine is still application recived..
plus how can i know that my file is in ottawa or islamabad...

Dear Mrs Sam its nothing to worry about. I have almost the same timeline as yours and my husband got approval letter on 3rd of November and my online status got changed to decision made this tuesday. Sometimes they dont update e-cas straight away. Wait for some days it will be updated inshaaAllah!

I recently applied for sponsorship for my wife in may 2012 and file was transferred to CHC Islamabad in July and current status say " medicals received" .I have 2 questions reg this process.
1- Although website says that it takes 26 months but realistically how long it is expected to take ?
2-Background and security checks are done by who? Do they have their own agency/personnel who conduct these background checks or do they check with local police depts in the concerning district ?

for ur question 1:
two case of 2012 f this form was done within 7 month one of them applied in feb and got visa stamp in end of oct.. other applied in may and got passport request.. so cant say any thing.. even there is people who r waiting from 28 months they r from 2010.

for question 2: no idea

If they have written that it's being transferred to islamabad, I think it would be most probably in islamabad.. I have no idea regarding ottawa... Why would it be in ottawa? :s Is it the part of process?

SEcurity checks are done by cic-m and chc-i seperatly for own confirmation and verification.

till june 2012 islambad taking so long but know i heard it is working fast.. but ottawa's timing is unknown because this is new office no time line for that..but thing is they have to make us clear about our file location.. even i read few threads people sent proof of relationship to islamabad and then islamabad told them that their file is not in islambad.

Nothing to worry bro its normal and changing will be show on ecas after 8 to 10 months since file transferred to Islamabad.

So plz wait with patience next year u will heard something from them. Good Luck Dude ;D
