Hi I have a question. I was talking to my friend regarding my husband case and I told him that the ISM office asked my husband to submit more document which he did. So I was thinking that my husband will be here soon but my friend was saying that they only gonna check the file right now and they will put the file away, and they will take decision later not that early. So plz tell me if that's true or not cuz I thought my hubby will be here by end of this year or start of next year. Plz

hi.. did u receive the letter by post or by email for the PR fees ? and when did u receive this letter ? wife case or husband case ?

I recived the letter by post from chc islamabad on 31 october but the letter dated from 18 october. Its wife case. Aplication applied on 22 march and the file transfered to chc isl on 28 june. Can any member tell me what will they do next?

in ur approval letter is it mention that ur file is transfering to ottawa..

My first AOR for my sponsorship approval was lost in the mail. So i ask CIC to send me another copy of the letter for my records and it clearly states that my file is transferred to Ottawa and i also sent an enquiry to CIC through my MP and the MP office confirmed that my file is in Ottawa.

Hello. I want to ask u one question. Are u getting request for permanent residence fees. And what is the expire date of ur wife's medical. Cos I have almost same time line as urs and now I got a letter for permanent residence fees request.

I paid permanent residence fee at the time of submitting my application. My wife's medical expiry date was Sep 29, 2012.

I think once CIC asks you to pay permanent residence fee than your case is almost final.

can u please tell us when did ur wife do her first medical and if any other correspondence occured btw u and ottawa ?? i applied for my wife in april 2012 also.

My wife did her first medical last year September 2011. But we submitted our application little late which is this year April 2012. And yes no other correspondence occured btw me and Ottawa. Hope it helps.

My wife did her first medical last year September 2011. But we submitted our application little late which is this year April 2012. And yes no other correspondence occured btw me and Ottawa. Hope it helps.

If your wife's file moved to Ottawa and it was clearly indicated when you got sponsor approval letter, but honestly speaking they don't mention even if it is going to Ottawa. Becoz Islamabad, Pakistan is our official visa office for Permanent Residence Visa. Can you plz tell me if your wife got Re-Medical request from Islamabad, Pakistan or Ottawa and how did Visa Office either one of them communicate to your wife?
e.g. via regular letter or via email.

Actually I submitted my file in April and it got transfers to ISM in July.

Your time starts counting when your file transferrers to visa office.

Hi everyone i email ottawa today asking if the received additional proofs which i sent voluntarily on nov 1. i got the following reply today:

Under the Privacy Act, this office is not authorized to communicate any details concerning a file to persons or representatives without authorized and expressed consent of the client concerned. We do not currently have an authorization on file to provide any information regarding this file to this email address: maria_678 @ hotmail.com

Call the call centre and tell them your situation hopefully they will be able to assist you in the right direction.

My wife got a re-med request from Islamabad office and they sent the request through Pakistan post. The letter was dated October 31 but we received it on Nov 18

I applied for mi husband on september 5th 2012. i got an email from cic on 16th october with a UCI number and applictaion number and the email said, "This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2012/09/05 on behalf of the following member(s): XXXXX" i checked the status online and it jus says APPLICATION RECIEVED AND MEDICAL RECIVED .. though i didnot get a letter saying i am approved as sponsor and all that.. i hope anyone of you guys can help me :'(
Also you can add me to the timeline aswell.

Come back to your question if you get your approval letter via email so you won't got any hard copy in the mail and I got mine approval letter via email but I did not get a hard copy in the mail.
