My wife got a re-med request from Islamabad office and they sent the request through Pakistan post. The letter was dated October 31 but we received it on Nov 18

My wife did her first medical last year September 2011. But we submitted our application little late which is this year April 2012. And yes no other correspondence occured btw me and Ottawa. Hope it helps.

I paid permanent residence fee at the time of submitting my application. My wife's medical expiry date was Sep 29, 2012. I think once CIC asks you to pay permanent residence fee than your case is almost final.

My first AOR for my sponsorship approval was lost in the mail. So i ask CIC to send me another copy of the letter for my records and it clearly states that my file is transferred to Ottawa and i also sent an enquiry to CIC through my MP and the MP office confirmed that my file is in Ottawa.
