Dear Laghmani bro,

No worries if they ask for Afghan questionnaire forms, they are running a background check on your wife now, upon completion they will stamp the visa, because they have the PP now, the key is if she has travel history more than 6 month after she turn 18 in Afghanistan they will run it on that country as well for example if she was a refugee in ( Pak or Iran ) and she has lived there after her 18th birthday longer than 6 month that is all, the other scenario if you have filled these forms before already than if I remember correctly there was issue in your wife's birthday being different in couple of documents that might have trigger this issue, but if its the first time you getting this form no worries they are running the Back ground check, the pre screen process of SICIS and CBSA is dont only you get PPR request along with PPR and REPCC than, all they will do to Contact ( Afghan Interpol ) to make sure all is clear, once is clear they will stamp the Visa bro, if the travel history exist and you have mentioned it already in application longer than 6 month after she was 18 than will be a long one , but for now fill all the forms send it asap and hope for the best, that is all can be done in this point bro, take it easy, stay calm and support your wife during this time to give her some emotional support to make it easier for her, keep me on your pryer in this holy month the my wife get PPR soon inshaullah.

Regards,
CVimm

Hey,
Thank you for the info :)
My hubby faxed them on June 10th, 2013 too.
At least after 10 June 2013, my hubby's e-case status changed to medical received.
I'm just going to wait and see if they reply to my hubby's fax or not.
I don't want to send any other email or order anymore CAIPS
because CIC takes forever to reply back.
And on August 10th, 2013, It will be 26 months since the file has been
transferred to Islamabad. I will just wait and see CIC's next step.

Dear Princess,

I was in an exact same situation, all correspondence was fine with CPPO - Ottwa and than suddenly I got email that they cant communicate further information exchange regarding my wife application and I am the sponsor , not third party, so I had to send a official letter to them, with request bearing my original signature and after the problem was solved, it all depends who receive the inquiry on other hand if the officer confirm that the requester is sponsor or applicant they will communicate if not or if the email was not mention in application they will refuse to communicate as per immigration guide, I know how you feeling, I have been there, take care of by either sending imm 5476 or just cover letter explaining the situation with date and signature that will do it. take care.

They have my email in file.
CIC sent us acknowledgement email on my ID as well.
If it wasn't in our file, why did I receive the first email by CIC in my ID.
They have been sending out other info 2-3 times to my email.
They have been ignoring 3-4 of my emails.
Yesterday, they decided to reply and ignoring my email would have been better than
replying with useless words.
CIC is weird.

GUYS QUICK QUESTION

MY WIFE APPLIED FOR THE 'PR CARD' RENEWAL SHE SENT THE COPIES OF PR CARD AND AS SHE REMMBERS AT THAT TIME WEB SITE ASKED FOR COPIES

BUT TODAY SHE CHEKED AGAIN AND IT SAYS ORGINAL CARDS WILL THIS EFFCTS OR CAN SHE UPDATE THEM AGAIN BY SENDING THE ORGNNALS

IF SOME ONE ANY EXPERIANCE PLEASE EXPLAIN

PLEASE REPLY

If PR Card is expired, it is sent with application for renewal.
If it is valid @ time of application, applicant sends a copy to CIC. Then when applicant goes to pickup new card at CIC local, they return the expiring/expired card to the CIC official. If new card is sent to mailing address, then applicant should destroy the old card once new is received

That's what the renewal guide said.....did your wife check the guide?

I hope that my hubby's case doesn't end up like this..
Have you been to Pakistan during the process, if no then you better plan to go..
Once in Pakistan fax and email them that you are there and you want to return
Canada with your spouse.
I'm sure CIC must have been ignoring your emails too.

2nd option is just continue waiting..

Asalam-o-Alaikum Guys/Gals,

I am new to this forum and I need your advise regarding spousal sponsorship program.
I came to Canada in Sept 2009 and then got a degree. Later I applied in the PNP program
and got my permanent residence(PR) in April 2013. I was employed in an IT company since
July 2011 and when I became PR I qucikly resigned from my job and head back to my country
as I wanted to spend some time with my family. I am in Pakistan since May 2013 and will be
coming back to Canada by the end of this month.

*Note I had a stable job since July 2011 and never have been unemployed till the time I resigned.

During my stay in Pakistan I got married . Now my question to you guys is that when I will
return to Canada I wont have a job immediately. It might take a month or 2 get a decent job
again. So can I apply for my wife immediately or should I get a job first and then apply?
I want to add one more point I have been filing all my taxes every year since I have arrived.

Do you guys think I am eligble?
Should I take the help of a lawyer? (They are quite expensive and I will use one as a last resort)

Waiting Anxiously for your advices.

Allah Hafiz!

Wasalam
If you live in the province of Quebec, you can apply right when you come.
Quebec doesn't ask for income proofs to sponsor spouse.
For other provinces, I can't help because I don't have knowledge.
