Brother, your officer doesn't receive the documents until almost a month later...I know this based on GCMS notes and documents I have sent in the past. I have noticed that it takes them almost 1 month + to shuffle through that stuff and get it to the appropriate officer dealing with your case. And not just based on 1 occurrence, but multiples.

most recently my wife sent them letter regarding her medical still being valid (around Feb 9/10), and yet they sent a letter on Feb 20 still asking for proof or additional information regards to the medical she did in July. So they obviously didn't open and read my wife's letter yet even though she mailed it TCS 1 day service. We always do that so that we can reduce the time as much as possible.

So, the officers probably attached it to your file sometime around end of January. Your med is valid for 1 year, I would think (Insha Allah) you will get response before the meds expire, otherwise you will get remed request and then from there PPR.

I would suggest ordering GCMS notes. It might give some additional information on what is going on. But nothing is certain and no one can give you guarantees, just assumptions based on what is happening with other peoples cases.

Usually takes 10-12 months from the time the docs have been transferred to Islamabad before they open files and send AOR's.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

I think you guys interpreted the 28 month different in a wrong manner, it is not how it works.

First think the 28 months is the Worst case scenario and it is only 10% cases explained below.

Let me explain you guys in a clear way.

CIC didn't yet provided the detailed figures since they updated the 80% figure to 28 months. The last complete data we got is till October 2012 so my explanation will be based on that data.

In the last 12 months the cases they precessed (gave visa PR) took in 80% of the cases 25 months or LESS the word less is very important. Because if you look at the excel file here is what in the titile :

X % of the cases were completed with in X month or LESS

So from September 2011 to October 2012 for Spouse and Partner cases processed by Islambad Office

80% or less of cases were completed in 25 months
70% or less of cases were completed in 22 months (which mean the only 10% took from 22 to 25 months)
50% or less of cases were completed in 19 months ( Which means only 20% took from 19 to 22 months)
30% or less of cases were completed in 16 months (Which means only 20% of cases took from 16 to 19months)
20% or less of cases were completed in 15 months (Which means only 10% of cases took from 15 to 16months and 20% took less then 15 months so it can be 1 month up to 15 months)

So please guys when you talk about time or when you contact the MPs don't get yourself fool by this 28 month figure only 10% of person are concerned by this time. And it is the worst case scenario and you should remind this to the MP.

I also analyzed the data of Application received and processed by Islamabad and I have very good news and feeling that in coming months the timlien will decrease by 30 to 40%

Here is my explanation :

Files received by Islamabad office from 2009 to 2012

2009 : 3,012
2010 : 2,562
2011: 2,332
2012 (jan to sept) : 68 Low figure because file started to go to Ottawa

Files processed by Islamabad office from 2009 to 2012

2009 : 2,224
2010: 1,227 That is the root of our problem look below for explanation
2011: 1,760 : getting a little better
2010 (last 12 months till October 2012) : 2,232 This is a Good NEWS, it look that Islaman Office is back in it's old time figures

That is why there is backlog, because only 1220 PR given in 2010 which created a big backlog, I don't what really happened in 2010, coincident it was in 2010 that Pakistan was touched by it's biggest flood in his history which paralyzed the whole country in 2010 and in continued in beginning 2011.

As you can see in last 12 months Islamabad office treated almost same amount of files (even more) then in 2009. So it indicate that the backlog is been dealt and we will soon see the timeline go down :) I also think the cases from Ottawa will be transferred to Islamabad as they only received 68 cases and soon Islambad office will have no more file to work on.

I am not taking out these figure from thin air, these are official figures that CIC provide to data here is the link to all data (look for Permanent resident and also look for file received) http://www.data.gc.ca/default.asp?lang=En&n=6E81B685-1&parent=51383040-F4F9-4B96-9E6B-2D70AAFB522A

I can provide you direct links if needed.

So Guys and gals good time is coming for us :) in less then 6 months I am sure the timeline will go very low like 40% less then today.

My lawyer explained to me in the exact same terminology and he also says there is a very high possibility that these numbers will change in the next couple of months.

Khan bro,
do you not remember telling me to just have faith in Allah (swt) don't stress until I hear a good news. Just have that feeling for yourself as well. You have given me so much strength by reminding me that we have the best power watching above that what's going on. I am sure very soon you and your wife will get the good news. Speaking of predicting the time when to expect something. Honestly that's one reason why I didn't bother responding to your post because none of us know when will this torture end. But Alhamdulillah we are Muslims meaning we have the best power helping us through difficulties in life. Allah (swt) does anything that's best for us.

Inshallah Inshallah VERY soon your wife will get a ppr just pray and stop worrying too much!!

Np. I wish I could talk to ur wife and could explain to her to be by your side instead of crying and making you weak.. But just try to tell her not to stress, my hubby complains all the time and I try to avoid talking abt the sponsorship. They are in back home. No offense but the majority of our ppl and our community like to talk crap, tell babhi jaan to ignore them and pray Inshallah within the next month you will hear good news!! Allah (swt) is great

Go to the nearest IOM office. It doesn't matter which one you go to, as long as it is the IOM as CHC no longer allows you to go to just any doctor for examination, it has to be at one of the IOM locations. Call them and book an appointment.

thankyou Very much! Just wanted to know if the appointment can be booked in person? Since i've bee trying the phone number and it is not getting through.
