CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2011 -2012

Six long months have passed since my husband sent his passport to embassy, emailed ,faxed, Called did every single possible thing but No replies. Mp says file in queue for review from DMO.

Has your husband traveled a lot? My passport has been with them for almost 5 months as well. My wife contacted the mp from Pakistan but no update as yet.
I sent an email to (Case-Review-im-enquiry @ cic.gc.ca). they took a couple months to reply, and even then they just said that islamabad is probably not returning the passport becuase of background checks done by 3rd party vendors. They also said if I wanted my passport back (for travel or anything) I should contact islamabad directly. But after it's been this long, any email from anyone is good to see.

Technically it wasn't a Re-medical. We got a ppr phone call asking for the passport and telling me I had to land before my first med expired (which still had some 7 weeks to go at that time). So sent the passport in, but they didn't give it back. Before the first med expired, they called us to get a chest x-ray done as part of a medical furtherance. So I suppose that just extends the validity of the first med till Sept 2013. Been 5 months now..Still waiting.

I just asked where my file is - they said Islamabad - so I clarified against my past knowledge that it was in Ottawa so they told me this.

canadian immigration I was lookign at your timeline and you filed your case in Oct. and you got PPR this Dec, was your case filed through a lawyer or were there any special circumstances?? MashAllah you got PPR very quick.. I applied in Mar 2011 meds in June and my hubby is still waiting for PPR
