I think FN stands for Foreign National. What i infered from GCMS notes.
Could be something else.

Till we don't know in which context they were talking, it can be anything, here are some more ideas that can fit too:

File number
False Negative
Footnote
First notice

Here is another confusing and contradictory statement on checklist and Form tell me what you guys/gals did.

It is about : Spouse/Partner Questionnaire (IMM 5490)

Normally as indicated in the Guide and as it is the part of sponsored (principal applicant) Form and as it is indicated on top of that Form. It should be Filled and signed by the Sponsored person who is outside the Canada.

Till now this is clear and that what I was thinking and doing.

Then while checking the checklist I came under an statement which the opposite of what is mentioned above and very contradictory and confusing. Here is what it says :

5 Spouse/Partner Questionnaire (IMM 5490)- If your sponsor is your spouse, common-law partner
or conjugal partner, he or she must complete the questionnaire.

Now If understand correctly here they are saying it is the sponsor to fill it. :o

OMG what are they doing ? why they are confusing people :S Now what is correct and what not :S

Only make sense to me :
Fn: first name
Fn: foreign national

But first name makes more sense to me. Becuse my and my wife last name are same. So, there refer me as Spr instead my name and they refer my wife as Fn instead her first name

IMM 5490, the principal applicant .. the person who is being sponsored is supposed to fill this form. The Canadian partner fills Sponsorship forms and the Pakistani partner fills Immigration forms and the region specific forms.
