the new law.

i dont see anything different its same law other then the fact that sponsor and applicant have to say in their married relationship for 2 years

what difference does that make for someone who is doing it as a business

Yeah, but I heard something similar to what mahwigul heard. I heard that they are trying to speed up the older cases.....although my mind doesn't accept this as I don't see any logic in it, my heart wants to believe it! ;D

You can find this information in Part 3 - "the immigration guide" of the "Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class/Spouse" forms download page at cic.gc.ca

I believe its the second last page :)

Don't send a physical file inquiry through your lawyer. That will delay your case for sure. Go for GCMS notes. Here is how you can order them.

Fill out these two forms. IMM5475E form needs to be filled out by the applicant (in Pakistan) or the sponsor can fill it out and get the applicant's signature on it. Check on "I Authorize....". The applicant's info will go on "Your name", "DOB" and fill out the rest of the column. The sponsor is the designated individual and his/her name and address will go in the designated individual information required. The person being sponsored needs to sign in the applicant signature space. No need to have a signature in the spouse space, leave it blank.

1 - Form name IMM5475E
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5475E.pdf

2 - Form name IMM5563E
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf

IMM5563E needs to be filled out by the sponsor. Put a check mark beside "Access to Information Act", "English", "Email" and "NO" in section A.
IN section B, write the applicants last name, first name and date of birth. Then put a checkmark beside; "Electronic file" and "Status of application" only and the file number starting with FXXXXXXXXX and embassy as Islamabad. Thats all you need to fill out for section B.

In section C check "this request is submitted by Canadian citizen". Fill your immigration consultants info as required. Then fill out the rest of the information as the sponsors name, address etc etc. Then sign and date it.

The sponsor can pay the fee online; and select Access to Information and pay with credit card. The sponsor will have to register with them, just provide your email and create a password;

https://eservicesak.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en

You can save the receipt or print it. They will email you a copy on your given email address as well.

Scan and attach both forms and the payment receipt and send it to atip-aiprp @ cic.gc.ca with GCMS ORDER in your subject from your email account. . In the body, just write " I would like to order GCMS notes - Thanks".

I got a reply trough my MP saying your file is with the decision making officer ...
On the notes its should at least say WVR / Registry/PA.

I couldn't find either in my GCMS notes.

Dear fayzaan, Do you know how long i'll have to wait before recieving any answer from them ?

it can vary, there is no set time for anything to happen, its all case by case. It took my wife 10 month's since we applied to get AOR. It takes ISB almost 10-12 months before they open and start reviewing your case.

My wife is a Canadian Citizen and she has sponsored me. We both are living together in Pakistan. Now she is expecting a baby.

I want to ask:

>> Should she go back to Canada for birth of the baby? Pros & Cons Please!

>> Or should she stay here in Pakistan for birth? Pros & Cons Please!

>> How it will effect on delay of our immigration case?

Thanks

You made me laugh :P

congratulations on the baby mashallah. This is a very tough decision indeed. First make sure what the status of the baby would be if it's born outside of canada. This depends on the type of citizenship your wife has. For example my wife is canadian by descent (and not by birth or naturalisation) so in our case a baby born outside will not get the citizenship. So the case would definitely get delayed.

But going there for delivery would also depend upon what family you have there to take care of the whole thing.
