Someone told me that no matter when you applied for your Immigrant visa, your case will take a year after updates regarding your Rukhsati are received at CHC(In case of Nikaah only cases). Is that really so? We had Rukhsati early this year, and sent CHC the updates later.

he said i will send the papers to islamabad CHC to send me the copy of ur file, then i can find out what is happening with ur case and then can tell u when will they send u PPR......my question is if CHC islamabad get this letter, will they stop my case until my lawyer reply him again or it will b still in process....plz answer if anybody knows...thanks

I was going through a CIC manual and it was talkin about service standards etc...how visa offices like rest of government need to follow standards and fairness and provide updates as necessary...so the standard by Ottawa is reply to email within 30 days - if no reply you can forward details to the Case Management Branch case-review-im-enquiry @ cic.gc.ca and they will escalate issue HOWEVER I caution this as I dont know of any negative impact...I read on another forum that this may cause delay...any insights or experiences here?

From what I know...pulling away your physical file does...why doesn't he just file for GCMS notes? In my opinion lawyer is useless as they can't influence...your too far in your process for him to have impact he will charge 500 for something you can get for 5..Grtting electronic notes has no impact

go for GCMS or CAIPS note, There is no need of lawyer in spousal cases.

Don't send a physical file inquiry through your lawyer. That will delay your case for sure. Go for GCMS notes. Here is how you can order them.

Fill out these two forms. IMM5475E form needs to be filled out by the applicant (in Pakistan) or the sponsor can fill it out and get the applicant's signature on it. Check on "I Authorize....". The applicant's info will go on "Your name", "DOB" and fill out the rest of the column. The sponsor is the designated individual and his/her name and address will go in the designated individual information required. The person being sponsored needs to sign in the applicant signature space. No need to have a signature in the spouse space, leave it blank.

IMM5563E needs to be filled out by the sponsor. Put a check mark beside "Access to Information Act", "English", "Email" and "NO" in section A.
IN section B, write the applicants last name, first name and date of birth. Then put a checkmark beside; "Electronic file" and "Status of application" only and the file number starting with FXXXXXXXXX and embassy as Islamabad. Thats all you need to fill out for section B.

In section C check "this request is submitted by Canadian citizen". Fill your immigration consultants info as required. Then fill out the rest of the information as the sponsors name, address etc etc. Then sign and date it.


The sponsor can pay the fee online; and select Access to Information and pay with credit card. The sponsor will have to register with them, just provide your email and create a password;

You can save the receipt or print it. They will email you a copy on your given email address as well.

Scan and attach both forms and the payment receipt and send it to atip-aiprp @ cic.gc.ca with GCMS ORDER in your subject from your email account. . In the body, just write " I would like to order GCMS notes - Thanks".

in the form it says name of the office where application was submitted and location of office..so would it be canadian high commission and islamabad pakistan or cpc mississuaga as we submitted application to mississauga and it was being tranfered to isb?
