Hello,

I'be ordered GCMS notes today and wanted to know if makes a difference if old forms are used? I ordered them last 2.5 months ago and today just sent the same paperwork with new receipt?

Thanks

I guess you can do that... In my case, I asked my wife to scan me the same form signed with the recent date. Did the same on the form that I had to fill out. The rest of the information is pretty much the same.

Hi

Applied for wife on Sep 1st 2010
Got a letter from Immi dated Oct 4 2010 saying file got transfered to Islamabad
Remedicals done Jan 20 2012 along with requesting additional documents.
Nothing have been heard since then. People applied in 2011 are already here.

Now im extremely frustrated in this waiting game through immigration. Ive also sent emails to the immigration office in Islamabad but have not received any response.

Can anyone suggest me as to what should I do to make this process faster ?

My area MP is not at all helpful as ive already been there so many times.

Please advice me as to what i should do. Im tired of all this now.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do the make the process faster. CHC does not expedite cases other than if there are extraordinary circumstances. I would order GCMS notes to review the progress of the file. Notes can be very helpful, but it usually takes 30 to 45 days to receive the notes.

I know you have been very patient so far. I'm sure the end is near for you. Keep yourself busy with other matters, if you can, until you hear that good news you've been waiting for so long :)

3 months since re-meds, MP said half a month ago that my application is with the decision-making officer, still no sign of PPR :(

Anyone else whose case is with the decision-making officer? Do you know how long they might take in issuing PPR?

It's getting too frustrating. :(

I really need forum members help here. My process seems to be in the finishing stages thought my wife is pregnent so it may get delayed a couple months. Currently Islamabad Visa Office has the incorrect mailing address of my wife. My MP sent them a new address for my wife and I sent it via e-mail as well but it has not been changed as of yet. I just found out from my MP that they sent my wife a re-med request about 2 weeks ago to the old address and not the new one.

So I want to send them a letter via post from Canada cancelling the representative (old address), giving the new address and adding a doctor letter stating that my wife is pregnant. Is my wife allowed having an x-ray done without harming the baby if she is currently 4-5 months pregnant. If it is not safe does she do the medical without the x-ray now and do the x-ray after birth? Would I have to add my child in the sponsorship after he/she is born and does my child have to do any medicals or anything?

I have sponsored my wife since October 2010...and 2 times it has been delayed due to incorrect address. First time got delayed for 6 months as we had no idea they sent a document requesting more info (wedding video, contact, etc), and now 2nd time the remed was sent to the wrong address. Please someone tell me how to write the letter to the Visa Office I mean mailing address.

Thanks

It depends on your status; if you are a canadian citizen, your newborn is by default a canadian citizen. But if you are a permanent resident, you'll have to apply for the child's sponsorship.

And it is plain ridiculous; this negligence. In my case, they typed in the wrong email ID. To-date I've written to them thrice requesting a correction. I hope they get it right this time around :S The only last option seems to be the MP office.

Reta you can google who your local area MP is and also thier contact information - once you have that you can either call them and make an appointment or just share your information over the phone - they may ask you to sign a disclosure form which is fine and then will do a case inquiry for you.

Pakistan Karachi? mp
Or where my husband is in Canada?

Thanks a lot for fast reply.!!

I do have a question... my wife did not assume my name at the time of the wedding so the marriage certificate/Nikkah Namah has her maiden name. What can we do now to change that, i.e. she assumes my name? I want to apply for her SIN/Health Card under the new name.

I would say changing name before you getting too many ids is less hassle then after.
Take a look here how to change name:

Yup i did go through this web page. However, i do have one concern. On the web page it states that we need to present our marriage certificate in order to make the change. But on the marriage certificate my wife has her maiden name printed. I am now wondering if the requirement of the marriage certificate is to verify that we are indeed married and NOT to verify that the new name is stated on the marriage certificate as well??
