Scared of what? I mean, you are at the tail end of the process. No more background checks, no more re-medical requests. You simply wait for the return of your passport. Not sure I would be scared. Be patient, you have waited this far. Surely, another month-long wait (or perhaps even less than that) shouldn't be that difficult

Scared of 4 months period. I hope this never happen for anyone. Everyone get their visas on wait. I know brother how others and i have waited during the whole process and now we should not lose patience when we have come so close. Please pray for me alongwith others.

Hey its husband case. And full marriage. You will hear something really soon, if ur status says in process then u ll get within weeks time.

I need some urgent advice:

July 2011 applied
September 2011 transfer
June 2012 in process
July 2012 remed and ppr
July 20 sent remed and ppr

I had my MP make an inquiry and she found out that all is done and they have received thr medical BUT expect a review 2-3 months later...that's seems weird? Now it sounds like the office contacts someone centrally cause she called them yesterday and a) ISB was closed and b) I doubt anyone stays after hours to answer inquiries so maybe this is a standar ottawa answer?

Any input would e appreciated...thanks.

I just checked the CIC website for application processing times updated as of August 20th which is still reports 26 months for Islamabad.. The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012.

I highly doubt this is true based on the fact that people are getting visas in 10-12 months.

It can take anywhere from one month to four months to get your passport back. My wife sent her passport on July 15th and we haven't heard back yet either. So hang in there, be patient. The wait will be over soon, Insh'Allah, for all good and bad things must come to an end

Hi, My status was also changed to in process in June and in July i received ppr and remed request together. I sent my passport and remed in July. My status is still same. I think they work in batches. May be they process all July requests on a particular date. I think cases where ppr and remed are taking longer as compared to ppr only cases. After reading on this forum, i have come to this conclusion that it is taking around 45days to issue visa in cases where remed and passport are sent together. JazakAllah

Dont worry about it. my status changed after 55 days.... so hang in there and wait for the decision.
it all well for everyone. I send my passport+Remedical on 25th June 2012 and on the EID day 20th August 2012, The status has changed.
so be patient. everything will be fine

Two to three months (or sometimes four months) is a standard response given by chc. Even FedEx will give you the same answer if you submit an inquiry to them. I wouldn't read too much into any of the responses or contact anyone at this stage. Personal inquiries through an MP or direct e-mail to CHC will not expedite your case. Passport will arrive when it is suppose to... No sooner, no later!
