Can I email to Isl second time about my wife current application status? My wife did email to Isl once time on Sep 2011... it will not affect our case hai na?

It will not effect your case at all. I emailed them 4 times from the time we sent the application till the initial review was done and I don't think it delayed my case at all.

No good news yet brother. We are just waiting for the Re-medical letter to arrive but no luck yet. According to GCMS notes, they were supposed to send the Re-medical letter on 18th of Feburary but they forgot to send it and they havn't replied to any of our emails regarding the Re-medical letter in the past 3 weeks. So lets see what happens next, there is not much we can do but wait and watch now. InshaAllah good news will come soon.

So my wife will be getting her visa very soon. CHC ISLAMABAD asked for her passport. Now if we want to enter Canada a little later after visa is issued (6 months-1 year)...what do i have to do?? Write a letter to the embassy or what??

how long did it take for the VISA office to ask for your wife's PP, since the file got transferred to ISB office?

so wife recieved a letter saying do remed and send in your passport as your visa is ready. she did her re med and sent her passport in on march 20th. the question is does the med go to india first and if it does how long does it take to reach to islamabad? any ideas how long more before she gets her passport back?

she did her med in lahore and she had to do her exrays in diff place then the med place. im hoping that does not cause any issues as doc said its normal and they will send in the results on time.

It sounds strange but that's what they do. I heard ISB office has a real shortage of man power and this is a way of distributing some work to take off the load.

However, when she called 3 days later to the medical centre to find out if the results were mailed, the receptionist said they will be mailed by end of the week. After a little argument with the receptionist, it was assured that documents will be mailed next day. Anyways, she called again next day and the receptionist informed that the doc signed the medical form and results were dispatched. Was she telling the truth or lying, GOD knows, but I can hope that she was telling the truth.

ask your wife to call the DMP clinic and ask for the her consignment number, and then you can check the online status on TCS tracking site.........

no the file got submitted to CIC office in Canada in Aug 2011, and got transferred to ISB office in Oct 2011; haven't heard from the ISB office since. how long do u think it takes for them to open our file in ISB office and how long does their process take?

It took them more than 12 months to review my wife's file so 12 months would be a good guess.

Per new timelines the processing time is 26 months. Like Danny said, you could be lucky to hear anything from them in 12 months. Please note that every case is different and some cases can be processed in 9 months.

GOOD LUCK. you can always email them with a query and they reply back with-in 15 days. Replies are pretty generic but give you a hope that someone is sitting on the other side reading your mails and replying as appropriate.

Hey there, wish you guys a speedy visa processing. Just wanted to share my bit of the process I know. It is not because of staff shortage that medicals are sent to New Delhi, but because New Delhi is a "Regional Medical Office" for the subcontinent where all the medicals from the neighbouring countries are sent & stored. The respective visa offices have access only to the electronic version of the individual's medical profile rather than the actual file itself. It takes about a month for the visa office to access the file from the RMO after the medicals are done.
