if you provided your email address in the application. Initial decision will be send to you on your email. Once you receive the CLient ID, you can go to cic.gc.ca and update the address.

Salam everyone!
I have been reading this forum for quite some time now and it has always been very useful. My husband and I applied in July2011 and our file got transfered to islamabad in september 2011. A few months back i emailed CIC-islamabad and asked them if i could send them any updates? They responded with my file number even though i didnot receive any AOR via mail. They said i could send updates now so that when my file comes in initial review they have the update to go through. The thing is we have a consultant/ lawyer in toronto who has been helping us with the application and he has now advised us strongly not to send any updates unless we get a letter from islamabad via postal mail asking for updates and this could takes a few months. i am not sure why he insists on this but if any of you has any experience of sending updates without being asked for can you pls guide us. Secondly, since we have this representative/lawyer involved, what ever correspondence (postal mail etc) CIC-Islamabad initiates with us, will it go directly to him (the lawyer) or will i receive it on my address in Pakistan? hope some one can guide us........thanks..all the best to everyone..

As salaam o alaykum!

Just joined this forum. Have mailed my application to sponsor my husband from Lahore on March 15, 2012 to CPC-Mississauga. Need everyone's prayers and good wishes for smooth processing. Inshallah, everyone on this post successfully complete their sponsorship application and Allah gives us the strength to be patient. Ameen!!

Looking forward to be part of this forum until the end of my application.

Hi everyone !

What could be the positive reasoning to the question asked by CHC:

What will you do if you have not been issued visa?

1) I will appeal in the court as my case is quite genuine, also evident from the attached proof.

2) My husband will try to settle in Pakistan if my visa is rejected. (Does this statement makes sense? Or would it help them to reject the visa as the sponsor has an alternative of settling in Pakistan)

What else? Need your comments :)

Wait for their request as they won't accept your Re-medical without them requesting for it.

Red Jeans - I wouldn't be writting option 2 saying that your husband will settle in pakistan - not a good idea in my opinion because this just means your husband is willing to settle in pakistan and living in canada is not neccesarily a priority for him. I would definately lean towards that you would appeal for re-assement. Is yours a nikah case?

Red jeans,

Emanzaib is absolutely right. Dont even mention option 2 in any way. Thats a RED FLAG for them. It means u r not serious about settling in Canada. OPTION 1 IS THE BEST
