Does anyone have the information on the original docs that we send with the file such as Birth Certificate, Nikkah Nama and Degrees. When do they get returned?? After processing of Part 1 or Part 2?
Has anyone tried requesting them. They should not be keeping originals for 2 years ??
Thanks

Thanks a lot Arkansas2045 my wife(Canadian Citizen) is here in Pakistan, and we are planing that she should stay here until my PR arrives. She has to get back to her job in FEB 2012 after maternity leave, i'm confused either to send her back or stay together, as it will be difficult for her to manage things on her own. She went to Canada fairly recently and have little social contact to count on in my hour of need.
Please advise
Regards

Oh boy, this is a tough one! 'No intentions to settle back in Canada' is one of the objections handed out by CHC.

If your wife stays with you for too long then CHC might say that you guys don't have the intention of settling back in Canada. Your wife will then need to provide "Recent Notice of assessments, credit card bills, bank statements, cell phone bills, apartment lease in her name, letters of Relatives or friends supporting your wife's plans of settling back in Canada once PR is received, tickets/boarding passes/copy of passport showing that wife is back in Canada, letter from employer if she is working and on leave, current tenancy contract or property ownership deeds." to convince the immigration officer otherwise. Your application process will be further delayed by a few months. Don't know if you want to take this route. My recommendation would be to send her back to Canada in Feb...

I would suggest posting this question on "CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2009 -2010" forum as well, as there are senior members quite active on that forum who can perhaps advise otherwise.

As far as I know, documents are returned upon the completion of the entire application process.

All replaceable original documents, such as notarized certificates or copies of original documents are kept on the file for future reference or destroyed. All irreplaceable original documents are returned to you. If you dont get them back , then you must advise the immigration office immediately (I got this information right from the Immigration Canada website).

All the originals are returned with the passport when the visa is stamped. Until then CHC-I will have it with them unfortunately.

I haven't received updates from any one, so i am assuming that CHC is still working on Nov, perhaps Dec, 2010 cases.

My wife's file was received by CHC in March. Still have a few more months to go before initial review...

It shouldn't have any negative effect on your application since you would be just visiting UK for less than 6 months.

Glad I can help :)

Either you or your husband can send the e-mail out. I asked my wife (applicant) to send it, and she received a response from CHC within a week. I believe I have already posted the sample template of the e-mail and the e-mail address of the recipient. You can use that template or create your own e-mail.

Thanks I'll do that :)

Sponsored person doesnt get anything from islamabad now..they get more documents reqeest after initial review,...

I got an email from CPC-M. I checked our online status it shows processing has started in Islamabad. It also shows medical had been received, also says checking for any missing documents, maybe an interview will be needed.
That is why I'm thinking if it has been gone this far why my hubby did not get the AOR yet? :'(
