My wife is neither naturalized nor canadian by birth, she got her citizen by descent and has never lived in canada (she has lived in US instead). If we had a baby in pakistan would the baby get citizenship in that case??raptorsfan said:According to Citizenship Act which was amended in 2009. If a baby is born outside Canada and one or both parents Canadian Citizen by birth or Naturalized(Landed Immigrant), then the baby is automatically Canadian Citizen. All that needs to be done is that the Canadian Citizen (in your case its the mother) needs to fill out a form where she will proof her citizenship and then the baby will become a Canadian Citizen....look into it....its your wife's right...its your baby's right...
