We are both doing great! Very busy, she is still relaxing at home and still adjusting to the new environment. I am in the process to find out what she will need to do exactly to get an equivalent degree in Pharmacy that she completed in Pakistan and once thats done she should get into a routine and get everything going according to the way she wants

Very good plan Wes and Mubarakbad on your wedding anniversary. It will take time to her to adjust with new culture. When my sister in law came in first. She was crying and missiing back home parents brothers everything but after 2 months she was fine and get used to the places where everyone is busy in some kind of.things. Yeah she misses back home her mom, sister, niece, nephews, cousins and everyone else. She talks with them every day, but it will take some time for sure to adjust. She lived her whole life back home, it won't be easy to forget the last 25 years that easily!

Yes that's true. And here everyone is so selfish and busy in some kind of task. In back home where everyone is free and have more time to talk and share love. Here its hard for new immigrants people. I say to my wife everyday that stay with your parents brothers and sister spend time with them and give them love respect because than later you will miss them alot. Its not easy to come from a house where 20 people present all the time and than enter into a house where only 1 person you can see all the time. Off course its hard.

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Interior has notified two weekly holidays at all the public and private offices taking effect from Saturday (October 15).

The notification issued here said, "The selected operational branches of the commercial banks shall, however, continue to work on Saturdays, to facilitate the corporate customers and businesses in their financial transactions."

"The Notification shall take effect from first weekend falling after the Cabinet decision i.e. 15th October, 2011."

Office are directed to follow 8am-4pm schedule from Monday to Thursday, with 30-minute lunch and prayer breaks at 1pm.

Office timings on Friday would be the same with 1.5-hour lunch and Friday prayer break from 12.30pm to 2pm.

Now...CHC-I will not send PPR on saturdays...PPRs will not be recieved on saturday...CHC-I will not do any processing on saturday...even TCS will not operate on saturday. And fridays will be slow.

For those who have not done rukhsati yet...more upsetting news. Shaadi halls will now only be open till 10pm instead of midnight.

Shops will also be closing early.

All this is in "effort to save bijli" lolz

I sent my Application to CPC-Mississauga on 10th June 2011 AND they send me the acknowledgment in last week of July and send my file to Islamabad for further Processing. I just wanted to check do they also send Acknowledgment to the Sponsored Person in Pakistan?

They don't send the AOR letter anymore. You spouse should email them and get her file number.

They ask to provide updated information and to refill the following forms again once they do initial review on your file. They updated some forms in July2011 and now they send the following:

They can make more bijli its not hard to produce more electricity in Pakistan, they also have resources to do it but they still don't want to...

even though china is ofeering them electricity for very cheap price..they can buy it in case they dont wanna do anything in Pakistan : but wahan to basic necessities ka he fuqdaan hai

I think thats what the point is for introducing UCI (Universal Client Identification) since July 2011. Before they used to create Client ID for sponsors, and immigrations file numbers for the applicants. UCI is still new so I don't have much info but I am studying on it

i think it is enough UCI to check sponsor's status (Mississauga) and Application # to check applicants status....
