FYI, my re-med & ppr was requested together and passed almost 50 days!

Hello to lovely guys in the forum.

i got medical and updated police certificate request and to submit some forms on June 07. and did all within July 20.

Does any one know what will happen next? and approximately when?

Phew, Alhumdulillah my wife finally received Quetta PCC, she will send the remaining docs tomorrow via fedex.

I gave her this address to send the stuff to:

Canadian High Commission
Immigration Section, Diplomatic Enclave
Islamabad 44000, Pakistan

InshAllah now with this stuff our sponsorship will go in process and soon we'll get PPR!! you guys think I'll get PPR by September?? considering we've already done remed and they're just waiting on these additional docs...

Masha Allah Masha Allah, today I got my passport back with visa stamped. It took 43 days to get my passport back & a total of 17 months for the completion of process. Now Insha Allah i'm flying to my husband on Sunday. I pray that all those who r waiting for either PPR or Passport will get theirs soon...

How long does it take to complete background checks?

Question: When they request for passport submission, what else do they request along? (passport size pics or anything)

Please advise...

I am kind of in the same boat as you. On October 4th, 2010 my file got processed to Islamabad. June 07, 2012 it says in Process. I had sent my additional documents, 2nd police report, photos after wedding etc with my wife. My wife had sent one medical and I think it is expired or will soon. And what is Ecas because I think all mine says in in Process and nothing else and I dont get updates such as my application is underway background checks, or medical recieved etc. So what is the next process and how long more am I looking at and also inform me about ECAS?

My e-case still says "application received". And I get my updates on monthly basis from my MP's office. Last week embassy sent me email saying "background checks are being conducted in this case. We do not know how long these will take but we will inform the applicant when we (receive the results and) are ready to process this case further." This is the reply. They also don't know how long it will take.

Lets pray.....thats all we can do.

I received the same reply from the embassy through my MP...background checks have been going on for 8 months now..and they still dont know when they will be completed.

all of you waiting for PPR would like to ask if any of you have paid RPRF FEE ?i was thinking i did not pay and might this delay of getting PPR due to that .... would u pl z guide if that's the reason ?

I paid RPRF when I applied in March 2011 and even in the GCMS notes it shows confirmation that all fees have been paid - so you still haven't paid it yet? if not, pay it as soon as possible and send them the reciept (both to missisauga as well as islamabad)

For all who have done re-med in May/June/Jul and waiting for PPR - since I am in the same boat - I went through the 2010 - 2011 spreadsheet of cases and noted down the duration between re-med and PPR and then took the average of these 63 cases and it came out to be 3.2 months. So I think it's pretty normal to wait 3-4 months between Re-med and PPR even if your case is straight forward. So keep your spirits high and inshAllah we will hear some good news in the comming months!! Remember that worry does not empty tommorow of sorrow, it empties today of strength. So try to keep strong and hang in there, inshAllah we're almost there! I felt really down all of last week but trying to think positively because that's all we can do

Now that's a relief! I wish all of us wake up tomorrow to find our statuses turned to decision made- visa issued. May the Almighty help us all!

exactly..life is stressful..

can u plz tell me my status shows Application received and Medical results have been received( it was my first med)
also i send then few add documents like re pcc, supp form etc.
tell me whats theirs next step.
and i send them add doc on 2 july 2012.

next step could be remedical and PPR or if your medical is not expiring then PPR only... InshaAllah!
