Hi,

I tried posting in 2010-2011 thread but didn't get any response, I hope someone can answer my query here.

I was wondering if anyone knows whether police clearance report has to be valid until the person lands in Canada or do they just need it to process the application. My husband's 2nd police clearance will be expiring in about 2-3 days, the visa office has his passport too since October 2011. So just wondering if anyone knows whether they will ask for another police clearance before issuing the visa or will they just let it go?

Sis police certificate from pakistan never issue without expiry date and it should be 6 months validity, and regarding your qurey that they should need another re pcc if its expires thts why they asked you repcc, but some case i have seen they didnt ask re-pcc.

I know that it's valid for 6 months. But it has already been 6 months since the 2nd police clearance certificate was issued. I just wanted to be sure whether it's a requirement (as important as the validity of medical and passport) for the issuance of visa. But as you say you have seen cases where they didn't ask for another certificate, lets hope it stays that way in our case too!

As far as I know, police certificate shouldn't be expired before visa is issued. Once Visa is issued, you don't need to worry about police certificate expiration.

As far as I know, police certificate shouldn't be expired before visa is issued. Once Visa is issued, you don't need to worry about police certificate expiration.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. They have the passport but haven't issued visa yet.

Received in Islamabad Visa Office June 2010
Re-medical done in July 2011
Passport requested and sent to Islamabad Visa Office in October 2011
They asked for further medical tests again in November 2011
All test reports submitted to them again in December 2011
Now waiting for a response from them....

It was valid for 6 months too. The 2nd one was done around July 15, 2011.
