You think he wouldn't be aware of the CHC-Islamabad delays? He is the one running the embassy so he created 24 month timeline on purpose. Its a political game by the Conservatives and they posted Ross Hynes on purpose so they can acheive their goal. Btw if you listen to Harpers statement a couple of days ago, its very clear that he doesn't want more muslims in Canada and his Government is doing everything possible to delay and slowdown immigration from muslim countries.

I'm sure he is aware but it is one thing to create these delays and sit back and relax and another to have to respond and be held responsible to what havoc they are creating for us.

To discriminate against Muslims or a family members from a certain country is not legal in Canada otherwise they would have done it openly instead of creating indirect delays. There is a saying only the squeaky wheel gets the oil so we got to make the noise and get the attention.

Even if they are aware doesn't mean we don't disturb them and let them do whatever they want in peace. To call what is right, right and what is wrong, wrong is part of our religion and if you cannot raise your voice against it then at least consider it wrong.

Then its time we keep this in mind and tell all the other muslims not to vote for Conservatives anymore and highlight these words. There is something we can always do and learn here ..this system is not as hopeless as some of the ones we come from where raising a voice is met with violence or ignorance.

We got to portray Islam in a positive light for other Canadians and even amongst ourselves. Otherwise this will catch on like wild fire. As if Bush wasn't stupid enough we now have Mr Harper to create war against islam in Canada.

The real need in Canada now is to boost economy, create jobs, good health care, international trade and other social programs for canadians, but for last few years Harper govt is investing/building prisons and will eventually privatize it, following the same US model where judges are involved in deliberately sending convicts for very harsh punishments to keep the prison business rolling (its proven). Most of the prisoners in US jails are low income african americans with small crimes, go figure who will be in these prisons here in canada ....

I urge you all to please send an email commenting on Harper's usage of word "Islamicism" and demand a public apology for singling out muslims for the terrorism and associating islam to it. As a PM, representing us all he has to be more careful picking his words!

here is the thing.......without taking anyones side....my analysis! bottom line, everyone stop complaining and do something!

1) We are not in a Muslim country, it is clearly understood. If we have issues with a non-Muslim country and we happen to live in that country, we should go back to our own country.
2) We don't give a damn about our own religion and country, why would anyone else?
3) We take our own religion and country for granted and always have bad to say about, forgetting that the it is the people of a country that make a country good or bad. If our country (home) is bad, it means we as people and citizens of that country are bad.
4) Harper said what his people wanted to hear. Obviously his people he was addressing were non-Muslims. If it were a Muslim leader in a Muslim country, he would have said way worse and openly about non-Muslims.
5) Being Muslims, we should learn tolerance of others existence. Do we?
6) I think there is more racism in Muslim countries than any other place on the planet. (Mainly because there is no rule of law there and law is everyone's bitc* there)
7) We cry foul when something goes wrong here but when we go back to our own country we become part of the wrong by using our influence wherever we can.


I do condemn what Harper said, but if I was in his place I would have said same or worse and I am sure you all will agree.


And the increasing timeline sucks! India has more scammers than any other country and they are able to bring their spouses in 3 months! wtf!

Guys just relax we all know this is frustrating but please don't loose your temperament. This is about the immigration not life and death and this will be solve soon. Don't take it as a discrimination because there are some non-muslim countries as well and there timeline is same like Pakistan. Examples are Singapore(21months),Hong Kong(19 months), Venezuela(22 months) and Kenya(32 months).
