brother you may smile at it ...........something you need on this stressful day ........... one of my friends had a nikkah only case, got a child, updated embassy and later on got a letter to provide proof of rukhsati .......... so ruskhsati walima and barat was performed with the child in mother's lap being RUKHSAT ......... he provided all the info and lately they asked him for updated pics of child ............. they might have not reviewed your info at the time they sent you letter as they are all screwed up in their operations .......... make sure you organize the documents when you sent it to them ....... prepare a cover letter for each document as to what is in it ......... and one main letter providing sequence of documents ....... goodluck and order CAIPS

When did you submit your remedical and where did you do it from? Since I've heard the DMP's in karachi are not available till 15th Oct...

It should cost only $5 unless you have no one you know living in Canada. And it always takes a month even over email.

Ross Hynes's email address is already on the pakistan.gc.ca contact us page along with many other people. If it was not meant to be seen or used by the public then it would not be on the main CHC site.

In my opinion it's good that he gets flooded with emails so that it raises awareness of the problem to sponsor a spouse from PK embassy and wait for 2 years.

You think he wouldn't be aware of the CHC-Islamabad delays? He is the one running the embassy so he created 24 month timeline on purpose. Its a political game by the Conservatives and they posted Ross Hynes on purpose so they can acheive their goal. Btw if you listen to Harpers statement a couple of days ago, its very clear that he doesn't want more muslims in Canada and his Government is doing everything possible to delay and slowdown immigration from muslim countries.

'Citizenship not for sale': Feds set up tip line for suspected fraud cases

OTTAWA - The federal government has set up a new tip line where people can report suspected cases of citizenship fraud.

Immigration Minister Jason Kenney is declaring that "Canadian citizenship is not for sale" and he's encouraging people to use the tip line to report suspected cases of citizenship fraud.

Kenney says his department will investigate the reports and take action when necessary.

Cases of false representation, fraud or other illegal activities surrounding the citizenship process can be reported to the tip line at 1-888-242-2100, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. ET, Monday-Friday.

Overseas cases can be reported to the nearest Canadian visa office or by email at citizenship-fraud-tips @ cic.gc.ca.

To date, immigration officials have identified about 2,000 people from over 100 countries who may have obtained Canadian citizenship fraudulently and they are taking steps to revoke the citizenship of the guilty.

And you also need a consent from the applicant if sponsor is ordering CAIPS from Canada which could be, Authority to Release Personal Information to a Designated Individual Form (IMM 5475), or Use of a Representative Form (IMM 5476). If sending request by post then sponsor needs to send a $5 check if emailing the request then fill out, Credit Card Payment Form (IMM 5667). Processing time is 30 days from when they receive your request so emailing would only save you the postal delivery time nothing else, thats the fastest way and it would still take 30 days to process your request.

I sponsored my wife in January 2010, she received her VISA in August 2011. She is landing end of September...

It was a simple case, with full wedding and proofs sent initially. No objections, no interview, marriage was considered genuine during her initial review, she had absolutely no travel history, no work history just education, lived at one address since birth so only one police certificate and yet it took 19 months (Since applied at CPC-Mississauga). Her file opened for initial review in Feb 2011, and since then it took exactly 6 months for the whole process. They wasted a whole year before they touched her file, it just sits in their storage area. Thats how it is bro, some cases take less time, some take longer. According to CIC the timeline is 24 months for Islamabad, and it took 17 for Islamabad to process her file. I am still glad and thankfull to Allah that it's finally over for us as we know some applicants are still waiting since 2007/2008/2009.

Letters she received were:

1 - Mar2010 = AOR (From Islamabad)
2 - Feb2011 = Updated forms and Police Certificate Request
3 - May2011 = Re-Medical Request
4 - Aug2011 = Passport Request
5 - Aug2011 = Passport, VISA, Landing Paper, and all the documents submitted initially.
