Hi All
Would any one of you help me please.

I am from Abbottabad, My wife sponsor the case and i received the letter on March 2nd-2010 from CHC Islamabad, that they start processing my case. On March 08th-2011, they informed me through email that background checks are over for this application and is in queue for review.On May 21st-2011, they informed me that an interview is required but they didn't give me the time frame for the interview.
But on July 25th-2011, they answer in response to my email that Your application is currently in process and is in queue for review. Currently, back ground checks are underway for this application.
I didn't know whats going on. In March they told me that the background checks are over for this application but in July they told me that background checks are underway for this application.
After 25th July-2011, they are not answering any of my email.

Would any one help me what I should do or what is the next step.
Looking forward for a reply from you people soon.

March 2 2010- started processing
March 8 2011-in queue for initial review & background checks are over
May 21 2011-an interview is required and no time frame can be given at this time
July 25 2011-application in queue for review and background checks are underway

Coolperson ...it looks like they did initial background checks for document in march and then the did the initial review on your application and placed you in the interview queue. There are many types of background checks CHC does...the first one is to verify your documents are correct and authentic which is what I am assuming they were referring to in March.

You should order CAIPS/CGMS notes to see why they placed you in the interview queue and if they have requested any further documents from you. If not even then you can send in some voluntary proof of contacts to clear any doubts about the genuineness of your wedding if that is what is listed in the CAIPS to be the reason for interview.

The second background check must be in detailed security background check they are doing..and the review is not the initial review but its a second review you are in queue for now. It could be that they took you out of the interview queue or whatever but ordering notes can help you find out for sure.

If I remember it correctly when it was election time back in May and Honourable minister of citizenship & immigration was coming live on Punjabi/desi radios and one of the forum member (cannot recall the name) from other website called in and asked the question to minister for the delayed at CHC-I office and the answer was that he is not aware of the 22 month's processing timeline and assure the caller that if the Govt is elected than he will look into this issue upon returning back into office. May/June/July/Aug are passed and the situation is in front of all of us, infect went up from 22 to 24 months. My question is "How come honourable minister of citizenship & immigration said that he is not aware of the 22 months processing timeline for ISLMBD office. I assume every office mission guideline/agenda, increase/decrease the quota and timeline is approved by the minister office OR at least reviewed at high-level before a change go in place."

i agree with u 3 guys (one 2 ka 4,wes ,became a loner), its even surprising for me too that a minister in canada can also cheat/trick ppl for votes. (zardary and they r same then).
*well,the main thing is if he didn't know that time is 22 to 24 months at isbd office then what is doing as immigration minister at that post ? 2nd thing, is there something we pakistanis are missing that we dont know how to tackle this issue and take it to in media or in parliament to resolve this matter "of long time for couples processing?" pl comment about it and shouldn't we take a step ? as far i know Miss Olivia Chow "wife of jack layton Green Party's head"..she does talk in parliament about all comunity matters as far i know. i met her in canada and she was invited at a Law firm and at that time she gave a speech for immigration problems for filipinos and thats on record . thanks
