No, you heard wrong! I am familure with everyone's case on this website since I have been here since mid last year. The fastest case I have seen was in 12Months and that was due the wife being an immigration officer so he got lucky and favoured, but otherwise 20% cases in 13-14 months, the other 80% are 24 Months (on average)

I am a canadian citizen and sponsored my wife. It took 19 months to finalize her simple, straight forward case.

This is what we have to do (wait) we are doing it and lots of people already done with this waiting time Mashallah and they start their married life may Allah help us all soon come out of this torture Inshallah

You are lucky to fall into the 20% category and got your process done and over with in just 13months. Most of us waited and have been waiting for 20 months and even longer, because 80% of the files do take 24months...

Allah knows best, he know and does best for the Umma. Now it might not be the right time for your husband we don't know. All we can do is pray to Allah and hope for the best and InshAllah things will work out.

you are right that is what keep me always strong ..........and I have faith and I am sure Allah will full fill all my wishes in Right time Inshallah no doubt that is why I always say Allah is great till now what ever I ask from Allah I got it ,but truly in right time

I think 80% cases include all those cases which are finalized with in 24 months. So, any case that takes less than 24 months (could be 13-15 or 16-20) falls in this 80%. Rest of 20% are even more delayed by 24 Months. Those might be delayed because they don't provide required documents and fall into another query from Canadian High Commission or are waiting for their interview after formally getting married or other complex circumstance.
