bro i'm looking in to forum and noticed few things and want to share and want to know about it a lilbit.
*there is a guy got re-med on 10th aug and ppr on 25th."meant just 15 days and his ppr was there,what kind of diffenrence it can be ? as few ppl r waiting for more than 2 months after re-med... like they asked mine proof of relation after re-medicals "16th day aftr it."
*bro,my proof went on 20th,july and they say file is with decision makin officer, while once in past i cheked and wrote to minister for immigration and when they repleid at that tym they said that my case is with decision makin officer... and after that i got re-med and proof of relation things but its doen and latest mail fom embasy stil saying case is with decision makin officer ...what does it mean ? can u tel me how far is it now to get my ppr ? its mroe than 2 months my re-med is done ...is there 3rd re-med request ever to any client or they complete process rite after re-med? please guide me bhai sab ... kind of depresed at the moment.please dua mai yad rakhiye ga . thanks

they asked us for his passport copy with the IMM forms. My assumption is that they want to verify/ confirm the entry/ exit dates of CAN/ PAK from passport, tallying them with the dates mentioned on application. But there could be another reason to it as well, this is just my guess.

For those of us who have received the PPRs can u tell us if they require the copy of the sponsors passport pages? If yes then any ideas why they ask it? Wes786 bro did they ask ur wife for the copy of your passport as well?

the form wes is talking about is the actual passport request!!
the one I mentioned was basically passport copies of my husband's passport when they sent me the IMM forms!!
any other request for voluntarily submission of passport is new to me, havn't heard that one before.

But Wes they didn't give me any such form just asked me to voluntarily submit my passport. What do you think of that?

Hi,
I have visiting this website for last ten months once in a while. I used to get depressed by visiting different forums.
its time to share my time line.
May 2010 application sent to Mississauga (WIFE)
August 2010 received AOR
April 2011 medical expired
August 13th 2011 received a letter to fill those forms again
August 25th re medical request

What I did was I went for counselling in June 2011, and than I was prescribed Anti depressant pills, in July I asked my Doc to fax a letter to MP explaining my medical condition, with in three weeks my wife received a letter to fill the forms.

I wish you all good luck, I know its not easy...Its like hellllllllllllllllll

ONE QUESTION:
when submitting passport, whats the minimum validity needed? I know they state that it should be valid for at least ONE year but is it really necessary? Has anyone heard of any case where it was less than a year? because, i'd applied for a new passport on aug 1st. it's supposed to come by mid sept. meanwhile, my PPR has given me 15 days, which end by sept 7th i think.
I DO NOT WANT TO WAIT till mid sept for PP to go, so am thinking of submitting my current one with 6-months validity. Any idea whether it would create any problems or no?? I do plan to fly out immediately, preferably within a week of rcving PP.
suggestions?

I think you should send your current passport (old one) with a cover letter stating that a new passport would be received by mid/end september. Once they return your passport with visa inshAllah, you can staple both passports together. That way, you'll have the visa to travel along with the new passport- once you receive your PR card (6-8weeks of landing) I dont think you'll be needing the visa on your passport anyway since you'll be a permanent resident

On the passport request it clearly states it must be valid for minimum of 12 months. I suggest you email them explaining the situation and see what they reply you with, if they don't reply then call and see if the reception desk can help with the issue otherwise you might have to get a the new one as urgent! And if you just decide to send the old one, and they return it back with an objection then that would cause even more delays, so just decide carefully whatyou want to do. If you explain it to them and they don't allow you to send your old passport I am sure they will extend the time to comply from 15 days to a month or something, thats no big deal.
