Sad but we can do nothing about it at all... :'( whatever happened to the Pakistan we had few years ago...the other day I was watching the video of this song by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan called "Mera Imaan Pakistan" and it brought tears in my eyes...I still remember Pakistan being that way.. :'( :'( Now it's all about corruption, inflation, killings and robbing our own ppl...

I had mine in 2 days no money paid

Its good for guys to have connections and nice if they can get involved in these kind of situations. My wife had to go through all these things by herself, she has never done anything like that before, her brother is also in Canada and father has passed away plus she was studying full time in university. I am proud of her whatever she has done to get us this far in the process and soon we won't have to worry about anything else InshAllah.

Dont worry about it Trust me, CIC has dealt with all types of situations and all kinds of cases So they understand- and even though they act like jerks most of the time (read that as 'all the time'), Im sure they wont have a problem with it. Did you go to Abdul Wakil to take an appointment or did you take it over the phone? I suggest go personally, give your name/contact number and tell them that in case of ANY cancellation, they should please let you know as you received the medical late to begin with- And inshAllah it should work out fine. Even if your medical is on 26th sept, just write a cover letter stating that there was a delay in the mail delivery and then there was no available date for the medical and now you've gotten it done at the earliest availablity, and attach the receipt of the medical (keep a photocopy with yourself too). But before that, send them an email that you've received the medical request and the date you've been given is the 26th. Atleast it'll come to their notice and be in their records. Hope this helps

You only need to fill out the applicant's information on that chart. If sending your passport by TCS you don't need to send prepaid envelope; CHC Islamabad will send the documents and passport collect, and TCS will charge you on delivery.

Hi all:

I wish to inform that my spouse has received the request for passport. Re-medical cert. was submitted in April '11 and March 2010 AOR.

I've a couple of quick questions to ask:

- the letter comes with a grid to provide applicant's info. (passport number, height, name, etc.). Should we complete the grid with both our information? (spouse and applicant or just applicant?)

- the letter also states that you must ensure that you have prepaid the courier for the return of your documents. Do we simply reverse the address and enclose the receipt/sticky that it has been paid?

So i finally decided to write an email, in my usual style to CHC and guess what, Got a reply from them within scarcely believe 15 minutes (Some say, the pen is mightier then a sword, I say Damn right)

they say that they receive my documents on certain date and the file is with an immigration officer for review.

No idea what does that means, in past, replies to my queries were like "File is in Que for initial review" and whats not.

So guys! your 2 cents on this?

One question if some one is able to answer it's what always bother me that how they do background checks in our countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan while we Know thousand of people are killing every day no screening no system no law Police in our countries are the biggest fraud which by money you can buy them any time how they can find out the person background how its possible what Canadian agencies will search ........I think its just waste of time I know some one personally he travel more than 10 countries and he spend more than six months in each of them he come with a new passport with out informing CHC Islamabad now he is in Canada these things make me mad that we try to be honest with them ,but still have to suffer for their stupid law

Agreed, that is true these background checks are just BS.

Well I know that the information is sent to CSIS in Canada and then CSIS contacts agencies in Pakistan to get the BG checks done. They have contracts with them but yeah you are right everything in Pakistan is so corrupted these days that I wonder that too sometimes how they conduct these checks.

Great person, I was in karachi when i receive dthe remedical request from CHC ( I reside in islamabad) So i cleed up Dr.Rohina and was having the same problem that she was busy and the next appointment available was past my deadline then i contacted dr. abdul wakil they were also giving me a longer date, so i told them if there were any cancellations do let me know and thats what happened they fitted me in 2 weeks earlier than my actual appointment, so don't worry just chill and do mail the embassy explaining your situation as well as fax them and send them a letter as well...
Another option is to try getting your remedical done in islamabad is far more easier and quick I got it done from Dr.Nilofer there

Yes I read that after I replied to your post. You know someone said to me once Karachi is like The Mother it embraces everyone with opportunity and earnings and It's really heartbreaking for me to see the motherland turning in to land of massacre & torture :'(
