Oh Great you are there already. Veeray yes that was my intention but thought I should go back before they make it another issue for me. Its been 3 days sofar and I am finding it very hard to readjust myself. Next month university will start so hopefully with university plus with job search things will bring me back to normal. My re-medical is valid till Oct 30,2011 so I am praying that they should review my rukhsati material, post wedding pic's and other visit's stuff and should wave the interview and issue PPR before medical get expired again. If not than I'll go again in Dec after finishing the semester.

bro did u inform them that u were here ? did u send them any proofs? What do u suggest i should do in this situation? My father passed away in June so i had to come and live with my family.

Slam,
Does anyone know about the GCMS implementation in Islamabad? Is it done or are they still working on it? As i think the CIC was suppose to implement this system in overseas Visa offices by March 2011.
Do you think this implementation was a cause for delay in visa processing. Because CHC-I was issuing visas before in just 6 months. But since they started the GCMS implementation in june 2010, every thing went down hill.

I think situation will get better once this system is fully incorporated in Islamabad. (Just my guess)

And finally , do you guys still receive CAIPS notes or GCMS notes? Did anyone apply for these notes recently?

Sad to hear about your father. May Allah grant him a place in Janit-ul-ferdos aur onn ke derjaat boland fermaye aur ap ki family ko sabir atta fermaye (Ameen)

Bhai in this case I assume you are going to stay there longer plus you already lived 8 months in the past (known to them) so my advice is dont inform them in anycase and live there with family. I am sure you dont have to provide any further proof so dont inform. Stay there with family unless they ask for your stay than inform them otherwise send the visit proof only once you are back in Canada.

FYI. My sister is in PK since April and we didnt inform them untill they actually asked for "where is the sponser currently residing?

Yes I did inform them about my visit plus I sent them my ticket copy/passport and many many pictures as you know I have to inform them (no choice) since I had objection.

lol.. ur answer works for me!!

Implementing GCMS is not the cause of delay. Delay (backlog) was started in mid 2009 when they started to focus on transferring skilled category to London which was completed I believe in March 2010 which cause huge backlog and reduced staff also significantly. I heard and it's also my understanding that before this move when ever spousal applications load get out of track officer from other categories review the files and speed up the spousal process but not anymore.
I have ordered CAIPS yesterday and have to wait 4-5 weeks to arrive. I will update you once I receive.

OHH. I didn't know its a husband's case!!

hi wes.. I'm worried now!!
WHERE does it say on this link that PR has to be IN canada when spouse (ie: me) is issued visa in pak?? coz the way you guys are saying, that means my husband CAN not land WITH ME in Canada.. he has to be there before I go??:S! *URGH!!*
h-e-l-p!!

I know that you have to remain in Canada while the first stage approval is in process at CPC-M but I am sure once file is transfered you can come
And go to Canada as long as you have all the legal documents to re-enter!

How is everyone doing over here.and how is your Ramadan is going aswell? What is new with here..Specially Bestplace bhai what up with you.I want to know regardins about Stuffs what is allowed to bring or not bring with you while traveling to Canada.Which certain things are not allowed by Canadian IMMI's Border to bring with?

Wassalam,

You can bring anything and everything except: firearms or any other weapons, meat and/or dairy products including seeds of any sort. And you must declare cash if more than $10,000 CAD

You did not quote the Section in Full: It Says:

A sponsor is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or Registered Indian (see Note
below) at least 18 years old, who resides in Canada and has filed an application to
sponsor a member of the family class, a member of the spouse or common-law
partner in Canada class or an applicant seeking permanent residence status in
Canada under H&C grounds[R130(1)] Sponsors must meet these requirements on the day Sponsorship is filled and from that day until the day a decision is made with respect to the application to sponsor [R133(1)]

zeeeee said:
OK..so now i'm confused!!
i've gone through this manual and it doesn't say anywhere that a sponsor (PR already living in Canada) has to be IN CANADA when spouse is issued visa in Pakistan!!
5.9. Sponsor
A sponsor is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or Registered Indian (see Note
below) at least 18 years old, who resides in Canada and has filed an application to
sponsor a member of the family class, a member of the spouse or common-law
partner in Canada class or an applicant seeking permanent residence status in
Canada under H&C grounds
[R130(1)].

No, if your husband is PR, he must be in Canada while a Decision is Made on your Application but you can Land together, it does not prevent you

Welcome to the forum....
Normally they take 2 months after remedical to send the PPr request, normaly you have to submit the passort within 15days and TCS is the COUrier service to use :)
