Does anyone know how long its taking for the visa after the passport request and re med combined? My wife got her PPR plus re med on the 21st of July. Sent everything in on the 3rd of August. When can she expect her passport with the visa ?

2-3 months max

Sorry to hear about this bro. I would suggest sending as much proof as possible so they can add it to your file and move it out of interview queue. Correct me If I am wrong but you have lived in other western countries for a good amount of time? Maybe they are now looking at your case as marriage of convenience, so you could permanently move to a western country. If I was you right now, I would send them everything possible to show that its not a marriage of convenience and give them all the proofs in this world to clear their doubts.

yes i have lived in UK and USA and I am sure that is the only concern that would like to know. I have proof of everything which i will be mailing them next week.

Currently its taking anywhere from 1.5 - 3 months to get the Passport with the Visa when medical is sent together with the passport. The medical goes to ND from your DMP office and it takes them about 3-4 weeks to update it in their system. After ND updates it in the system, CHC Islamabad would look at the results and if everything is clear, they would stamp the Visa on the passport. This whole process can take a minimum of 45 days and a maximum of 90 days.

The immigration officer at CIC told me that it takes them 4 days to endorse a visa once they have your documents. As far as medicals are concerned, these may take up to 6 weeks to get processed.

3-4 weeks are for PPR request only as the medical is done earlier and the results are already with them.

Thank you. This helps. So the people who get their passports back in 3 weeks are the ones who just got the PPR alone ?

Exactly !

Only PPR request takes 3-4 weeks but PPR + Re-Med can take up to anywhere from 45-90 days.

Yes, my husband! My husband was in the queue since June 2010 and I never did anything just waited and waited for a date. Finally I travelled to Pakistan to see my husband in December 2010 and in February sent them all the proofs. My husband got re-pcc and imm forms in March, re-med in April and PPR in June and he has been with me since July allhumdulillah.

My advice to you- firstly rely on Allah and know what He does is best do lots of duas in this month. Next I would order caips notes to get exact reason of interview. My caips told me the reason why I was in the queue and I was able to satisfy their requirement that's why they took the file out the queue. You should do the same and if you can provide them with what they want then inshAllah it can happen. In the meantime send some extra proof it seems like it will be about the relationship as they mentioned to send more proof of contact etc but get caips for the full details.

All my prayers are with you at this time. May Allah make it easy for you Ameen.
