The logic behind all this stupidity from CHC Islamabad is to find ways to take as much time as possible, this way they won't get in a situation where they have to give more Visa's than the Quota they are given by the Canadian Immigration.

Note: when they send remedical request they send the old expired certificate along with new info to be filled on by the doctor. So the doctor wouldn't do it without the request because they have protocols from embassies to follow and that's why they are designated.

Really? Why does it matter if the medical is done without getting a re-medical request? What is the logic behind not doing re-medical now? It will save us a couple of months. Why would the embassy ask us to redo it if it was sent voluntarily?

I have just received my letter from Mississauga including File reference number and UCI, as this UCI and file number is not working to access on line status. Normally how long it takes to appear the on line status after Mississauga approval?

I don't think you'd need a new one, this one should be ok. Your Visa will expire on same day as your passport since it's before the medical expiry date...

Normally you can see the sponsorship status by using client ID, sponsors last name, DOB, and POB as soon as you receive you sponsorship letter. You will need to wait for PR status after it gets transferred to Islamabad and they create PR file which is 6-8 weeks after the sponsorship approval.

Dude my Passport is also expiring on 1st Feb 2012 and after some discussions and history of some alumni I have decided not to renew it for now at least. Yes I am expecting my remed sometime now so don't worry my call is even closer
