why cant a PR take more then 2 week vacation?

PR is not allowed to leave canada at any point while the sponsorship application is being processed... period!!
forget abt taking a two weeks vacation...

I think we just need a little clarification. According to Canadian citizenship you can leave canada whenever you want if you are a PR even if you have sponsored someone. The immigration just requires you to complete the number of days in canada to be eligible for your citizenship and everytime you leave canada it just gets subtracted from the number of days you are in canada ....

So you can for sure visit your family even if you are PR and it will not effect your application. Actually it will help your application because on ur visit you can take few pictures and sent it to CHC-ISL with the copy of your stamped passprt pages. It shows that you have original relationship and you went to visit your family.

I agree coz I am a PR holder and I twice Visit my Husband and family over in Pakistan and send copy of my passport boarding pass ticket to CHC and also pictures and each time i stay for 45 to 60 days Hopefully I will go once again on October if my Husband didn't receive any update from CHC till so

Well, I just checked the CIC website and there are no restrictions. It says: " you can leave and re-enter Canada while your application is being processed as long as you meet all requirements to enter Canada" see the link below. They only suggest to not leave Canada if you have applied INLAND meaning in Canada process through vegreville. Hope that clears out some confusion.

Sadly...I think "yes"... :'( I called fedex up almost everyday and they told me that custom has held your package since you have sent documents that are for immigration...we can not comment on when they will release the package. So finally after tracking on their site, they sent it to Karachi after 3 days..

Hey im in Dec 2010 too n i havent heard anything from the CHC stupid embassy
same answer from them "your file is in que for initial review"

wat should i do to help my case out?
i mean insha'allah im leaving to visit my husband insha'allah in September... for two months
(excited as i am thanks to Allah SWT)

do u think its a good idea that wen i reach insha'allah i send documents
to the embassy of more proof etc (pics n copy of my ticket n visa)


or visit the embassy coz my husband wants to visit the embassy in islamabad
n i dont like the idea becoz of the situation is gettin worse.....

any help please...

There is no point of visiting the embassy. First of all they don't let non Canadian citizens enter the embassy unless they have an interview. Secondly, they will only answer general questions, and nothing about a specific case inquiry so as I said there is no point of wasting time and money. As for proofs, do send them updated emails, phone call logs, and proof of visit such as tickets, boarding passes, Passport stamps etc. that would definately help them make a positive decision during your initial review.

I have just received my letter from Mississauga including File reference number and UCI, as this UCI and file number is not working to access on line status. Normally how long it takes to appear the on line status after Mississauga approval?

My wife will be coming to Canada on August 12, I was wondering if anyone can tell me what my wife needs to take with her to the airport.

Is it just the passport/visa. She received a permanent residence form... Does she need to do anything with that... OR is it a straight forward process?

If anyone can shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
