i dont it makes a difference unless ur working for government/military
everyone changes job sometimes its not CHC business n they realli dont need to kno bout everything

the only thing they need is ur address info updated, ur relationship and etc..

sometimes they call your work place as part of background check, just send them an email with new employer's telephone number, name and address and preferably with a scanned copy of your Job Offer Letter

since when did they increase the time from 26 months to 28 months? + 1 month for sponsorship approval :( was it a very recent change? or has this been changed for quite some time?

I'm very confused. Some people sponsored their spouse in less then 8 months and others seem to take much longer then that :(
they said 28 months is the time for 80% of applications processed in recent years. what does that mean? does it mean it's the calculated average? or did 80% of applications take 28 months?

getting very confused with all this. :(

in the end it all comes down to dua. it's Allah's choice when our loved ones will come to live with us. As my parents love to tell me 'the day their food and drink is written in Canada, is the day they'll come.'
it's really consoling to think of the wait in this way.

Praying for all of us to be reunited soon. InshAllah.

I just sent in my application April 2nd 2013 so I know I have quiet some time to wait. ;D

its not really an average, but here is more how it works in simple terms,

you have 10 applicants, and they finish their case processign as follows,

APP01 = 8 months
--------------------------10% of cases completed-------------------
APP02 = 15 months
APP03 = 16 months
APP04 = 16 months
APP05 = 17 months
--------------------------50% of cases completed-------------------
APP06 = 20 months
APP07 = 25 months
APP08 = 28 months
--------------------------80% of cases completed-------------------
APP09 = 30 months
APP10 = 38 months

so if you look at the processing times, then 10% (1 on 10) finished in 8 months, 50% finished in 17 months (5 applications done out of 10) and 80% done in 28 months (8 out of 10). There will always be cases that are more complicated thus the last applicant, so that is why the case processing time is not listed in 100% of applicants, but 80% (which someone has considered to be the appropriate reporting percentage).

Hey Guys,

My Canadian address has been updated as home address on E-cas after 2 weeks of passport submission in CHC islamabad. Also mailing address is still Pakistani address as they'll be sending the passport to this address.

What does this indicate? When will i get my passport back? I urgently need the passport back as I need to go to Bahrain where I am currently living in and applied through pakistan. Also my bahrian resident visa is expiring soon so I need to enter bahrain. How should I contact CHC islamabad for this urgent request? Should I call them? What is the best and efficient way?

Its almost 17 days now and still waiting for the passport to be returned by CHC islamabad.

Need urgent guidance here.
