CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2009 -2010

I am looking to find out on what information to gather, forms to fill, delays to expect when applying for a new born baby's passport outside of Canada (in my case Pakistan). If someone has gone through this small step, I would appreciate if they can share their experience with me. What can I do on my part to be ready before the birth so that the process for obtaining temp travel documents from Islamabad would go smoothly.

in order to get the LVP ( canadian limited validity passport) you need to apply for Canadian Citizenship Certificate first and it takes 6 to 8 months from Islamabad to be processed. Apply for the Canadian citizenship certificate and for that you'll need the Canadian parent's original citizenship ID, two more IDs, such as drivers licence and passport, Childs FRC ( family registeration certificate issued in Pakistan), birth certificate, copy of marriage certificate, copy of the other parent ID, child's 2 photos and fees ( Rs. 6380 ) and of course the C.C. cert. forms. In case a visa is issued, you will then need LVP for the child to travel. for that you will need, the AOR u received after u applied for the Canadian Citizenship Certificate, passport application for minors abroad, two passport photos, again all the IDs and original C.C. card and fees ( Rs 1700) plus flight itinerary ( paid ticket receipt ).

then they will issue LVP for the child.

wasted 6 months on this crap. never gave me enough info n what do they need. applied 4 times. everytime was rejected for diff reason.
at the end i had to go to CHC myself.

Thanks for the detailed answer. I am trying to make sure that I provide CHC ISL (Late Lateefs) no reason to delay this part of the process.

Congratulations emanzaib.
My wife also had the remdical around these dates, though I've applied since Dec 2010. She got re-Medical Letter on June 6, but letter issue date was May 15.
By the way, what's your husband's application status, did that change recently? My wife's application status still shows "Application Received"

Same Exact thing with ours!!! It was issued may 15/16, received it June 6th, earliest date we could find was June 27th. What date did your wife get and your timeline? I also emailed CHC that we got the letter late, so please wait for medical.

We are also dec 2010 and online status says Application Received, even though i have been told via email and GCMS notes that we are in process. To be completed prior to Feb.

8)online qurbani online slip
9)gift receipts and online purchase order receipt
10) credit card bills
11) tax return
12) covering letter in detail
13) birthdy cards on email

NO i didnt reciev any interview call so far yes im in interview que , my hubbyy jus back to canada and now im going to send voluntraily his vist proofs which shall INSHALLAH do in my favour I trust on my ALLAH .

Assalam-o-alaikum everyone,

Thank you so much Doncarlos, Mrs SAM and X1T7. I am currently on PR in Canada. Yes, Mrs Sam got is right, I have NOT heard any thing from CHC. I also emailed cpcm-extcom@cic.gc.ca on 9th January 2013, sent my baby’s Name , DOB, Gender and Place of Birth. But I have NOT received any reply from them yet. I also sent them applicat's name, DOB, sponsor's name and DOB.

Once again what should I do next ?

Please advise.

P.S My wife’s X ray is also due as it was not done with her medical due to pregnancy.

My wife got remedicals on 6-7 June, had remdical on June 9, but letter issue date was May 15 and medical results were received by the end of June. Now, almost 7 months have passed and she did not hear nothing from CHC-I.

btw, how do you know they will complete it by Feb 2013, coz of 26 months timeline?

Yea assuming so. MP Office said it should be done within timeline (feb 2013) but now its almost Feb. If my wife doesn't hear anything by mid this coming week, i am firing a email to the MP office. Not sure what they can do...but this is taking too long!!!
I raised that people who applied prior to us have PPR and some have even landed. But i have no proof except lists people have made here and everyone is anonymous so...that is not proof.

There is nothing else we can do but wait... :-\ :'(
