Congrats!!! My wife got re-med around the same time. Are you in Lahore/Islamabad?? Cause my wife is in karachi and she didn't get appointment until June 27th!!

At least we are near, so we should hear an update soon. Otherwise I will email my MP office.

My wife also had the remdical around these dates, though I've applied since Dec 2010. She got re-Medical Letter on June 6, but letter issue date was May 15.
By the way, what's your husband's application status, did that change recently? My wife's application status still shows "Application Received"

Assalam-o-alaikum Everyone,

I desperately need information regarding my new born child file update. I applied for my wife in November 2012, I have not heard anything from CHC till 31st December and then I left Canada for parental leave. On 1st January 2013 we got our first baby born. Now question is....how can I update my child's information in my wife's file, get his medical done and pay his fees. I am in Pakistan till 25th February 2013.

You wil have to apply as ADD-ON in CIC (in Canada) for the child, same as u filed for your wife, they will tell you via email the documents to send if you call there, and also will have to send update to Islamabad. Pay the fees online CAD$150 before sending the documents to Canada and attach the receipt with baby's add-on application and send. Processing k kisi bhi stage pe CHC Isbd aap se baby ka medical khuud request karenge, ok? hope it helped. Any other querry regarding this can also be helped by me.

then 31st DEC 2012 ko what they heard? You tell a-mumtaz... in either case baby k documents ki copies and updated IMM008 to phir bhi Canada jyga..if case is like this that 1st stage approval nahi hua hai to bs Sponsorship evaluation nahi jygi.

he mean to say that he applied in nov and didnt hear any thing till 31st dec and on 1st he has baby,,and he came pakistan he never says that he got approval or file transfer,,,he need to do medical of the baby and pay fees,,and also have to fill the dependent form,,and he just need to inform CIC call centre coz if he got approval before sending those documents then CIC may object him that why they didnt inform coz baby is born before approval

you don't need to add if your canadian citizen. if you are your child is automatically canadian citizen all you have to do is apply for his canadian citizen certificate for that you need the forms available on cic site for canadian certificate, your original citizenship card, two ids, childs FRC, Birth certificate, and two photos, fees is 6380 in paki rupees. Thank you true friend. In my husband's case, the application status has been in process since Feb. 29th 2012 and then we got document request early march. My husband's re-medical letter was the same thing where it was dated for May 15th but he didn't get it until June 6th. Inshallah you will hear very soon, keep checking your application status in your case since it hasn't changed to in process until this stage probably InshAllah when your status changes to in process it will mean your wife will get PPR very soon. However do keep in mind that sometimes the application status does not change and you can get PPR. In any situation, I wish you the best.
