thnx for your quick reply,, well my husband applied for it thats why i'm not sure about your first question bt yes the mail which we received was half in GCMS and half in CAIPS.
according to CAIPS remed was snt on 20th feb 2012,,then reviewed on 28th feb 2012 then under remedical option cancelled is written :(
we mailed them last month and recently we got reply that they are going to snd my remed in coming days bt its been more than a week i didnt receive nything yet..:(
but i've a question here can i get PPR before BFD??

That means your file was also transferred from CAIPS system GCMS system. So I would not worry to much about the 2013 BFD, can you please tell me what is the DUE DATE under APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT in your GCMS notes.

You should recieve the Re-med soon, if they say they will send in coming days it means they realized that they need to send it out.

Yes you can get PPR before BFD, but as I said your file is no longer in CAIPS system so CAIPS's BFD might not apply to you anymore.

I have a question. Im planning on ordering GCMS/CAIPS notes today for my husband's file. It has been about 17 months since AOR for me. Should I order CAIPS, GCMS or both? And whats the difference? My husbands file number starts with a B.

CAIPS is "Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System" and GCMS is "Global Case Management System" these are two different computer sytems used my immigration Canada. CAIPS is the older system.

Files from July-August 2010 to February-March 2011 were done in both, as they were started in CAIPS and later transferred to GCMS.

Your file is only one month apart from mine, so your file is also started in CAIPS system and then later sent to GCMS system so make sure you selecet both CAIPS and GCMS so you can get complete file.

Thanks for your help, Im going to start filling it all out right now.

Also, s_design, did you get any phone call from CHC in the last week? My husband got one on thursday evening. They said they were reviewing his file and asked a few generic questions. He said he called because his cell phone number was listed in the application so they wanted to check it out.

No calls to me or my wife in Pakistan, but I know some people received calls from them. Maybe becuase we sent them such a detailed and thorough reply to the objection letter, they dint feel the need to ask any questions...

So when filling out the form from my side, I only check 2 boxes, GCMS and CAIPS, correct? Theres another option for Visa File (information abroad) (includes CAIPS/GCMS) . I should leave that blank?

Principal applicant is the person being sponsored.

No do not select Privacy Act, just Access to Info.

I will send you the directions to your inbox.
