Alhumdolillah!! Allah ki marzi se, aur sab logoun ki duaaoun se... Finally my wife got call from canadian high commission. :)

Caller asked her if my wife can travel to Canada within 10 days as her medial is about to expire.(Caller mentioned exact dates)
If not, she is going to send reMed letter. My wife wasnt expecting this at all and wasnt prepared; she asked her to send the reMed letter.
(Caller was female with american accent.)

I want to thank all of you esp. wesbro, khalifa, raptorsfan, danny, and s design.

Regards

Congrats bro...really happy for you...

BFD means bring forward date, its a estimated deadline visa office gives each file. They try to complete the file by that date, and in some cases they open the file at that time and if everything is ok they go to the next step (what ever the next step is) OR if at that time file is complete they issue PPR.

Your first medical has expired, so I either they will send your re-med along with PPR or it can also be the case that your re-med is lost, but this seems less likely as you got your CAIPS and it should have shown that re-med is sent and nothing is received in response.

My timeline is similar to your and my file was transferred from CAIPS system to GCMS system. Two important questions..

1 - When applying for CAIPS did you select both CAIPS and GCMS?

2 - Are your CAIPS notes also are in two formats, CAIPS and GCMS?

CAIPS looks like this

And GCMS looks like this

Actually on GCMS my BFD is set as 6 April 2012. As my file was converted from CAIPS to GCMS, my guess is that 6 April 2012 is the real deadline. Ella Habibi got the PPR 25 days after her GCMS BFD.

So hopefully my wife will receive something at the end of this month or start of May. I will keep all you guys posted.

I selected only caips when applying. What difference does it make? I notice both formats on the report I received.

thnx for your quick reply,, well my husband applied for it thats why i'm not sure about your first question bt yes the mail which we received was half in GCMS and half in CAIPS.
according to CAIPS remed was snt on 20th feb 2012,,then reviewed on 28th feb 2012 then under remedical option cancelled is written :(
we mailed them last month and recently we got reply that they are going to snd my remed in coming days bt its been more than a week i didnt receive nything yet..:(
but i've a question here can i get PPR before BFD??

I have a question. Im planning on ordering GCMS/CAIPS notes today for my husband's file. It has been about 17 months since AOR for me. Should I order CAIPS, GCMS or both? And whats the difference? My husbands file number starts with a B.
