So both of you are waiting from July 2010 and would soon be in your final stages of immigration would be okay if you get the Temporary Resident Visa in 2 months instead of 4 months of getting a permanent resident Visa?

Interesting !!

Its been almost 15 months for me but I would be ticked off if after this much wait, they give my wife only Temporary resident Visa. If I have to wait 2 more months compared to the Temporary resident Visa, I would wait as I think it would made a big difference if you take overall time to become citizen. I am sure you guys are aware of the residency requirements in order to become citizens of Canada.

The most important thing for me right now is to start a life with wife ASAP. It does not really matter even they give her 2 months visa and then she has to wait for 2 years and then for 5 years to become a citizen. It is difficult to live such life that we are living it right now and that too for years.

I agree with you that its a really tough time for both the husband and the wife, I am going through the same. May Allah have his mercy on all of us.. Ameen :)

Yeah, they better not move the PR applications in process to the new TR visa category.

If they implement TRV next month then i hope our file wont be effect by this

The timing will not change as long as the conservative is the ruling party. You will see a big change with any other party.

But I pray for all of us that may Allah bless our partners with the visas so we all can start our lives. Ameen

I hope they consider my wife's case for TRV becuase they objected on the fact that we did not live together. As I have my business in Canada and cannot close it and live in Pakistan, I would love for my wife to come and live with me. And it will also answer their objection.
I dont think its the difference between waiting 10 months or 16 months or 26 months, I think its the feeling of not knowing how long it can take, the feeling of helplessness that really bothers me. I'd take TRV in a heartbeat over this.

I have a question to asked. As I mentioned in my pervious post that CHC emailed me that I will recieve the ReMed in coming days. I was wonder how everyone else is getting repcc and I am getting ReMed what is this mean?????? I WORRY TOO MUCH I GUESS... Every minute I have a new thing in my mind. This Immigration thing is gonna drive me CRAZY FOR REAL.

You will get the ReMed in mail, that means you have to do a medical exam again as your previous one has expired (it is valid for one year). It seems like on the forum some people get the RePCC request and some don't. If its a husband case you will most likely will be asked to do a RePCC. But if is wife case there are less chances of it but some people are asked for it like in case of my wife.

Yes, plus they will also ask him to resubmit some of the forms. Whats your time line, you should add that info in your footer like I have done so people can better guide you.
